Re: Next Announcement

Aaaaahhhhhhh! I just want to know when it's going to happen for sure and I want band announcements every week. Part of the fun of going to Bloodstock is the anticipation of going to Bloodstock. I enjoy the excitement of seeing the line up build and dreaming about it. And with a 5 day event, there's ...

Re: Next Announcement

Considering I bought my Saturday day ticket for the sole reason of seeing Mercyful Fate then I'll be getting a refund if they're not there. I'm as keen to get back to live music as most folk but I'm not gonna accept far less than what I paid for just for the sake of watching bands again. WTF, what'...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

With any luck being inside will get him to sort his head out and he comes out not an arsehole. That's what I hope too. I kinda feel sorry for a lot of them. There's been a real new kind of crazy in the U.S. all lead astray by a leader that's not be held accountable for his actions thanks to 43 real...

Re: Next Announcement

And no good for us coming from overseas so I hope that if they did do something for local folk that they still let the rest of us carry over our ticket to the next year. I'm eagerly waiting for my next Bloodstock but, especially since I've got my first VIP ticket, I want to do it right. And I want t...

Re: The Still drinking But in Isolation thread

I think there's been change. There's been all the people who haven't got Covid because they stayed home or kept their distance. But then there's those who completely disregard others, like those that refuse to wear masks on public transport. Or those people that walk up your ass in the store. That's...

Re: Next Announcement

Just one note: I'm pretty sure getting time off work to get vaccinated will not be a problem for anybody. Any company that doesn't allow their employees to do this will not only get publicly shamed but probably have to deal with legal ramifications because I'm sure it will be made illegal to deny pe...

Re: Bands you saw before they made it big

I really liked the first Cauldron album "Chained to the Nite" - sadly their presence in the UK pretty much dropped off a cliff after that album & its touring cycle. Even then, the venues they played on that first full UK tour with Bonded by Blood were pretty small - large pubs really....

Re: Bands you saw before they made it big

Trivium also at Stanley Theatre in front of a couple of hundred I think I got you beat on that one. I saw Trivium open for 3 Inches Of Blood. It was a bar so less than a hundred people, probably just around 50. On that note, I remember seeing Lamb of God as the first band on the bill, next was The ...

Re: Next Announcement

It's nice to hear something so positive. Happy to hear the update. I was wondering what Bloodstock was thinking for this year. Looks like I should be ready to buy my plane ticket this year and stay excited for this summer.

Bands you saw before they made it big

The best example I can think of is a band called The Tempest. Watched them play to about 5-10 audience members that weren't related to the other bands on the bill (the first band on that bill and only 2 members in the audience including myself). They later changed their name to The Agonist when they...

Re: 2021 albums

...oh, and the new Thirion will probably be my first buy of the year. Therion? Well the new tracks they've put out have hardly been amazing, however nothing can be worse than their last album, 3 hours of utter tuneless boredom. The last record was poor, agreed. I didn’t even buy it. But I think the...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

LOL! One weekend I don't log in and there's a 5 page thread on this. Looks like I've got some reading to do. But yeah, very shocking, disappointing, but I refuse to make me enjoy Iced Earth any less after buying all those CDs. I'll just have to block this out of my mind and remember that all human b...
