Re: Next Announcement
I can't see a full Bloodstock happening but there'll be [i]something[/] (unless the easements end up being pushed back but for once they seem to have a sensible plan rather than just hoping it'll fuck off over christmas for 5 days). It'll be interesting to see if they do go with a shortened UK bands...

Re: Wednesday bands?
Aye they said the Dio stage will still just be Friday-Sunday with the Sophie stage open Wednesday-Sunday. Expect to see Wednesday be the usual half day lineup we typically get on Thursdays with a full day on Thursday. No word on the Hobgoblin stage. Don't know if anything's happening in the M2TM spa...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...
It's not just he's the song writer really though, he's Iced Earth. There hasn't even been two alums released with the same lineup. If they want to carry on together then good luck to them but trying to keep the name would be a bad move imo.

Re: Advice for first timers
There is indeed a loner camp, think there's a facebook group for it? Someone normally makes a thread just before the fest saying where they're gonna be and what flag to look out for, iirc it's a stein glass in front of a pair of bollocks.

Re: 2021 albums
You live up in Stockton? My parents live there but I havent beeb able to visit for over a year cos of all the shit. Didn't know about this shop, methinks a vinyl binge is in order next time I visit then. Aye and work in the town so it's a very easy and overly tempting walk, helps that it's got a de...

Re: 2021 albums
Last album I bought on CD was Ward XVI's Metamorphosis, wasn't released on vinyl and wasn't going on Spotify. Before that.....no idea it's been a while. Have started listening to my records a lot more in the last year because we moved house and there's actually space for my turntable. Working from h...

Re: Next Announcement
I'm sure if they did some sort of 1 day one-off event it wouldn't be a replacement of '20/'21 tickets which would roll over to next year (or be refunded).
I think we need the Bloodstock Xmas Party back.

That's all.
Will update if I get around to listening to the others.
Well if you're into melodeath then Countless Skies - Glow is definitely worth a listen.

Re: Next Announcement
Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping and crossin my fingers that everything clears up in time. I just suspect that the timescales aren't quite in our favour. I do think 2022 will be pretty much fine though. Everyone should have had vaccine #2, giving 90+% protection. Unless it turns out you do need annua...

Re: Guess what date gigs will be back to normal (no social distancing)
I'd probably take the risk myself, but I've got a daughter on the shielding list so would give it a miss if she's not been vaccinated by then.
