Re: The rather morbid celebrity RIP Thread.
Stirling Moss has died aged 90, not from coronavirus though. A motor racing legend from a very different era who survived when many of his peers did not. A true gentleman of the sport.

Re: Coronavirus
Makes me think it's much more widespread than they think and a lot of people have it without symptoms. That's absolutely the case. Some people have been tested and spent two weeks in self-isolation while asymptomatic. People without symptoms can still pass it on though. If you're a pleb they won't ...

Re: Coronavirus
I'm glad someone got the reference  I'm a bit of a Formula 1 nerd, so the next few months will be particularly frustrating for me. No live music and no Formula One! :x I wouldn't worry too much about your wall though, unless you're planning on having a ventilator delivered straight to your doo...

Re: Coronavirus
Efforts are afoot to produce new ventilators though. Formula One teams have immense capabilities to build a lot of them fairly quickly, particularly Mclaren, Mercedes, Williams and Red Bull. All the F1 teams have fuck all to do right now too as the first part of the season has been wiped out so this...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
No response to the election result then? I'm assuming you're all still in shock or in a state of depression.
It looks like the Labour/Green coalition predicted by this forum's voting intentions was way off the mark.

Since they have the highest number of Metal bands per capita I would fully support a Finnish-style education system. Perhaps in 2060 Bloodstock might start booking decent bands again.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
The proposed Labour policies are nothing like policies in Venezuela. They are modeled off policies used in Norway / Sweden / Germany which you may notice are all doing pretty well with a happier population and less inequality than the UK The thing is, until the last couple of days I haven't heard J...

Re: Use of Referendums
Isn't it "referenda"? I will abstain from the poll, as my opinion can't be categorized into any if the options. I think that the principle of having a referendum on our membership of the EU was absolutely fine. I have very eurosceptic tendencies but voted to remain as we didn't know enough...
