Re: What made you Lol Today?

I managed to yank the handle off of the office door on my way home. In front of about 50 people. Whoops.

(The door can't be opened from the inside now. It's a security door that's supposed to stay shut as well!)

Re: What has made you happy today

I've been paid earlier than I thought I would be. This means that I'll have more than I was planning on for High Voltage and Bloodstock too. But first, to the pub!

Re: What pissed you off today

I had a 'gateway briefing' meeting earlier. I've only been with the company a week so had no idea what they were on about, but all of the managers have been to the David Brent school of management. 'Does anyone know what a mystery shopper is'? Dear god.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

The area Spurs are from is traditionally Jewish, hence the support/derogatory terms.

You'll hear it a lot in pubs in London when Spurs are playing.

Re: What made you Lol Today?

The amount of people who say 'I actually agree with Mike' on this forum. Going by that, he's probably the most agreed with (albeit reluctantly) person on this forum!

Re: What pissed you off today

My first choice artist for a four page horror story dropped out because he's too busy (and hates drawing cars). That didn't piss me off, I totally understand that he's busy. What's pissing me off is having to trawl the internet in search of an artist. You'd think it wouldn't be that hard to find an ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Tips are just standard practice in the States. Over here they're not, we as a public are more critical of service. It's purely a cultural thing. partly to do with the preposterously low minimum wage in most states as well That and the IRS assumes a basic level of tips for waiting staff when they do...

Re: What has made you happy today

Just got back from the first day at the summer job. Looks like it's going to ba a piece of piss. We had Guns 'n' Roses playing in the office too, which was good. Also, my thoughts on digital comics were posted up on Bleeding Cool: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/06/30/digital-dreams-a-new-name-for-...

Re: A free-for-all thread

My eyes have gotten to the point that I'll need to wear my glasses at festivals this year so I can actually see the bands. How do you guys find wearing them in the crowd? Is it just much easier to invest in contact lenses? The only time I've ever damaged my glasses at gigs and festivals was when I ...

Re: What has made you happy today

I have a job for the summer. This means I can afford Bloodstock now, which was starting to look a bit unlikely!

Re: A free-for-all thread

OK so I consider myself pretty much an expert in Midsomer Murders now, and what I would like to know is 1, how come people still live in Causton/Midsomer in general, surely most people are dead or would have moved away to escape the massive amounts of deranged killers and 2, how come you never see ...

Re: What has made you happy today

I actually have an artist sorted for a comic series. I think that's one of the signs of the apocalypse.
