So 300 euros just cost me £49 more than 6 months ago from the same place. Goddamn Brexit speculation. I was only going to get 250 this time, but the exchange rate was even worse if you got under 300.
Very excited for Netherlands Deathfest now though.

Re: What pissed you off today
Yeah, facing the bike rack! I asked the facilities bloke to check and gave him my number, (working somewhere else today, back there tomorrow) reported it to the police as well. The thief left the lock cut in half on the rack, got the receipt so taking it to Halfords at lunch for a refund...

Re: What pissed you off today
Someone cut my lock off and took my bike from right outside where I work yesterday. Not a cheap bike by any stretch, and rode it at least 6 days a week.

First season is slow, but from the moment Danny DeVito comes in it's pure gold. Favourite comedy show alongside peep show.

Re: The rather morbid celebrity RIP Thread.
Had a bit of a cry about it earlier. Saw a text and facebook when I got up, but I got to work early and when tey had the news on in the staff room it really hit home. Surprisingly so much more so even than Lemmy. Went to HMV on Saturday to get three copies of Blackstar - myself, my sister and my mum...

Re: What has made you happy today
Booked on for the EMP Hellfest roadtrip, got a deposit down yesterday. Lineup is just too good for my tastes to wait for my friends to make up their goddamn minds. If they don't come more fool them. Same with Netherlands Death Fest, should get flight and AirBnB booked over coming days. Don't mind tr...

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Three Christmas present orders screwed up by amazon - they agreed to send replacements out for two of them, but they won't give me next day or even first class delivery, so that won't be here before Christmas. And another one they refused to send out a replacement and gave me a refund - maybe someth...

Not got a completely shitty hangover after going out last night, got Star Wars at 1, then to Wembley for Nightwish and Liv and Raymond play Theatre of Tragedy tomorrow. First though, some much needed monging out on the sofa.

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Sent my leave requests in for 2016/17 - but looked at the calendar wrong and went back to June 15 and not forward to June 16. Meant to book from Monday after download to Tuesday after Hellfest. Ended up booking the Wednesday to the Thursday instead - so no Iron Maiden for me this year. Despite havin...

Re: The Book thread
I love my history and would've taken it at A Level and most likely uni if I hadn't had a falling out with my teacher at GCSE, so try to read a lot of books and teach myself as a bit of an autodidact. Most I read are interesting, but John Keep's history of the soviet union 45-91 is horrendously dull....

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Kidney is still hurting a bit, especially after I do my cycle to work (even if it is only 10 minutes) - which is annoying, as I only have one antibiotic to go on the course. Not to mention I don't really want to deal with travelling to London and standing up all evening for shows. Meaning this week ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Got a kidney infection out of nowhere - started pissing blood yesterday morning and this kidney pain has gotten worse ever since. Got antibiotics, but by the time I made the effort to I go to the doctors I've been in nonstop agony. I can barely get off the sofa without it hurting even more.Hopefully...
