That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

Re: movies
Whereas the top one is clearly a rush job using the fastest source material available, whoever did that bottom one trying to make it better hasn't realised there already is a Home Alone 4.

Re: movies
Yeah they did one with a different kid. There's also a Home Alone 5. I don't think I'll bothering with that one.

Soze wrote:Saw Age of Ultron last night, loved it. Very much more of the same, I can see an inevitable backlash with all the hype surrounding it but it's funny with some great set pieces and all the characters get a turn in the spotlight. Arguably there's a bit too much going on and I can see non geeks getting befuddled by it all but I had a blast with it.
Saw it last night, liked it but wasn't amazed, stuffed full to storylines to the point of bursting pretty much held it together, didn't think Ultron was as good a enemy as Loki in the first, and found a lot of the storylines with Barton etc unneccesary.
Good, but in terms of Marvel films, I'd say Guardians Of The Galaxy, the first Avengers, Captain America The Winter Soldier and Iron Man 3 are all better, I'd give it 7/10.

Re: movies
I thought Age of Ultron was great! On a par with the previous Avengers definitely. The stuff with Barton was good - he was the one character most in need of character development (now, can we have more Black Widow development please?).
In terms of quality of films, I have several 'tiers':
1. Cap 2 / Guardians
2. Avengers / Avengers 2
3. Iron Man 3 / Thor 1
4. Iron Man 1
5. Cap 1 / Thor 2
6. Iron Man 2
7. Hulk
The gap between 1 and 2, and 5 and 6 being the smallest.

Re: movies
I personally thought it was on the same level as the first Avenger s however I will criticize the layout of the film. Although I expect Infinity War will be very different.
But I would rate the films as follows (best to least favourite)
Guardian's
Winter Soldier
Avengers 1&2
Dark World / Iron Man
Cap Am
IM3 / Thor
.
.
.
Incredible Hulk

Re: movies
I've honestly enjoyed all the Marvel Studios films. Iron Man 2 felt lacking when I first saw it at the cinema but I generally enjoy re-watching it on disc. The Thor movies are probably the weakest with my favourites being both Avengers, Guardians, Cap 2 and the first Iron Man,

Re: movies
as we're doing this then, for me it probably goes:
1. Guardians Of The Galaxy (9.5/10)
2. The Avengers (9/10)
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (9/10)
4. Iron Man 3 (8.5/10)
5. Thor (8/10)
6. Avengers: Age Of Ultron (7.5/10)
7. Captain America: The First Avenger (7.5/10)
8. Iron Man (7/10)
9. Thor: The Dark World (6/10)
10. Iron Man 2 (5/10)
11. The Incredible Hulk (5/10)
I loved the first 8 on my list and I would never get bored of seeing any of them, it's only the last 3 on my list I feel to be significantly weaker than the rest. Thor 2 was a big dissappointment seeing as how good the first movie was, and coming straight after The Avengers and Iron Man 3 I was really underwhelmed, especially with Christopher Eccleston's crappy elf bad guy. Iron Man 2 was a big let down after the first one, but at least they got things back on track with IM3. Incredible Hulk I don't really class so much as being part of the series, the storyline and special effects are much weaker than the other films, it's an ok film viewed by itself, but pales significantly when compared to the other movies.

1. Avengers Assemble
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Avengers: Age of Ultron
4. Iron Man
5. Captain America
6. Thor
7. Thor: The Dark World
8. Iron Man 2
9. Guardians of the Galaxy
10. Iron Man 3
11. The Incredible Hulk
But considering I'd still be giving last placed The Incredible Hulk a solid 7/10, none of them are remotely shit.
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Avengers: Age of Ultron
4. Iron Man
5. Captain America
6. Thor
7. Thor: The Dark World
8. Iron Man 2

Similarly to Gary, that's no slight to the films in the lower placing, as I'd rate Iron Man 2 a solid 6.5/10, and Iron Man 3 was a 7.
