ive really gone off top gear, the emphasis on them is just ott, its not even really a car show anymore imo

Yeah. Considering most TV is staged, it's a pretty weak flaw if you ask me.

Those reliant crashes were quite funny.

Oh no. Most stuff is. It just happens to be their staged stuff is usually pretty funny and unpredictable.

I can still vividly remember the whole camping/fire fiasco and I haven't seen that episode in a good couple of years.

Thing is, we must be watching it for different reasons.

I watch top gear to see fast cars go around, amusing reviews of said fast cars, and 3 guys joking around doing increasingly comical and stupid stuff.

If you're watching for pure car show, you're best off looking elsewhere.

Exactly. It's worth noting that the original incarnation of Top Gear had 8 presenters and was all about the cars and the public *hated* it.

People don't complain when a film is clearly staged, I don't see why a TV show should suffer for the same thing; it's still funny as fuck.

We should all know this will change in this series though. Top Gear is now... a sensible show!
