So we seem to have settled into a great week followed by a poor week cycle, lets hope the big games fall into the great week  Humbling Madrid will be one of the highlights of the season

Interesting developments with Everton and possibly Arsenal.

So the rumours of the Russian having no real money are probably right.

Why now? If it was off the back of the Liverpool game then what do the owners expect? Sure it was a pretty poor showing but 9 times out of ten I wouldn't expect West Ham to get much out Liverpool anyway.

If Moyes gets it as rumored then

To be honest I don't understand the general idea that Moyes is a bad manager.

He took Preston from Division Two to the PL play off.
He kept Everton up for twelve years without hardly any investment in players. Got into Europe and Cup Finals.
Took over a Man United team that was older than Dads Army and wasn't allowed to spend money.
Then took over Sociedad, kept them up whilst even beating Barcelona
Sacked from Sunderland, mostly due to saying he wanted to slap a woman reporter.

That's a much better record that Sham Allardyce.

It's not so much that he's a bad manager, more so that he's not much of a step up from Bilic; It's trading like for like at which point why bother? If they've gone and gotten Moyes then why not wait until Xmas?

Unless he's lost the dressing room, got a better manager ready to drop right in or other issues beyond purely results I don't see why they should drop Bilic now.

Well then...

I think they'll survive and possibly nudge to about 10th-12th in the league but I think given time they would have ended up there with Bilic anyway

The rate the England team are pulling out I'm going to have to find my old boots in case they need me. Just look at the players they are calling up.

Tammy, Jordan, Jesse, Ashley, Jamie. Are they sure that isn't the Womens team? :P

What happened to proper names like Albert, Bill, Stanley and Norbert?

Blame your man Emlyn Hughes for introducing the girly names to football :P

What's worse with Tammy Abraham is that his first name is actually Kevin!

Norbert a proper name? Since when?

At this rate Southgate might as well start a lottery system, might get enough players to make a team that way

I thinking of one of the best players to have ever played for England. Norbert Stiles.

Definitely a hard blokes name. Most of the Welsh Rugby team was named Emlyn at one point.

As an aside, my cousin was Emlyn Hughes's daughter Emma's best mate at school.

Oh, I've only heard of him called by his nickname Nobby so that explains that
