Finally taken a step into the mysterious world of emulators on my phone. First game: Pokemon Emerald. After a bit of research, it turns out the random occasional glitchy noises whilst walking are just pokemon noises to "make it a bit more realistic", in a game that fits massive fantasy creatures into a small ball and sends them along an internet connection to another computer's hard drive...

Still, fun game.

Turns out a guy I work with is a pokemon fan, so we had a battle over the weekend. He won. He basically had more than one defensive option, and used a tactic. So my mostly attacking team suffered.

Fed up of Silver at the minute. At the stage where I'm not good enough for the League, but I've done everything else. When it's taking 20 battles to level up 1 Pokemon 1 level, it'll take forever to get to level 50 odd to beat the league!

I restarted Pokemon Y not too long ago. Breeded myself a team and traded them over to the new save using the Pokebank. Also traded over my legendaries and shinies too. My team is currently:

Xatu
Tyranitar
Tropius
Flareon
Sharpedo
Primeape

Ive never been much of a competitive battler in the past so the natures and IVs etc aren't all perfect (tbh that aspect confuses the fuck out of me)

Anyway, I have 6 badges at present and the only Pokemon I have got on this save are the two starters and the fossil Pokemon. None of which I have used.

What's everyone's FCs? I'll post mine when I get home from work.

I love that your using Tropius. One of my favourite pokemon. Even if it is a bit useless competitively.

I started using Tropius as my grass type after discovering Sceptile is useless against Earthquake, so I have that as a second flying type alongside Altaria.

So far, my (Emerald) team is

Tropius
Aggron
Magneton
Altaria
Magcargo
Gyarados

All ~level 50
Somehow, all blokes.

Currently on the hunt for a Feebas, because an awkward to find pokemon that'll become Milotik must be good, right?

Is there any point in going for any of the legendary pokemon (Rayquaza, Latios, etc)?

And added you this morning.

Just got a message from my brother, Amazon sent him a code for the special demo version of AR/OS as he pre-ordered X&Y for me last year. So looks like my train journey today may have shifted from listening to the I Partridge audiobook, to playing this demo.

Is there any places doing good deals on preorders. Something like getting a special plush of a Pokemon or something?

Also Noodle, I would only bother with legends of you are fussed on completing the dex.

In the UK, players who pre-ordered through Nintendo UK and GAME will receive figurines of Primal Groudon, and/or Primal Kyogre depending on which version they pre-ordered, as well as a special SteelBook packaging of the game. Players who pre-ordered from ShopTo will receive a Torchic keychain.

Two new megas leaked today.

Well, the ORAS demo was waste of time and effort.

EDIT: Scratch that. I knew you could play it multiple times, but they actually do give you new stuff to do. So far I've only been able to catch Glalie (no ability to get Pokeballs yet) but hopefully I can catch some pokemon to transfer to the full game.

I read that all you can transfer is the Glalie, nothing else.

Well, other than balls and heart scales.

Still on Emerald: Managed to catch Kyogre (has the fewest weaknesses of the legendary bunch, and somehow, pkrs, which I'm doing my best to spread and keep rife amongst my lot.

Battle Frontier and contests are doing my nut in. Thw latter I've only ever finished in last, on the easiest level.

Any of you lot playing ORAS? I got it on launch and been enjoying it very much. Just wish I had more time for it.
