Watched Tokyo Ghoul, pretty awesome though that censoring is infuriating. Just show me the dude's guts.
Then went on to read the manga which was pretty good.
And finally finished off Steins;Gate with a guy on TS by watching the movie. It was fucking lovely :3 That show makes me so happy man.
Next we're watching something recommended by his mate. I only know that the teacher is a bear and kids are meant to murder each other.

Re: The Anime Thread
Absolutely. It's largely dialogue-driven, so the first few episodes are a little slow to get the ball rolling. But when it hits it's stride you won't be able to stop watching! It's an emotional roller-coaster of a show
Re: The Anime Thread
Checked the bear teacher show name, it's Danganronpa. I've not looked anything up about ti cos I wanna be surprised.
And yeah, Steins;Gate is fucking amazing. And yes, persist through the first 6 or 7 episodes. They're entertaining, but they're not like completely gripping, but after that shit starts going fucking cray and the characters are so fucking good and it's just great.

I knew it was coming, but SOA II's finale was a bucket full of feels. T_T

Apparently Daganronpa is a Vita game and is meant to be fantastic. I'm avoiding watching the show as I'll be getting a Vita soon and seem to love weird visual novel-y things.
Similarly, Steins;Gate is getting a Vita release too (no idea if the game came first or not), so will hold off that too. Glad to hear it's good though.
Re: The Anime Thread
Daganronpa was pretty cool.
Not the best thing ever, but definitely good fun.
Seems like the game would be pretty fun.

I'm finally trying Death Note again.
It's not bad!

Re: The Anime Thread
For anyone who likes VR and MMO stuff, I'd suggest Sword Art Online. I've just started watching it and the premise is pretty awesome / ridiculous. Only like two episodes in so far, mind, so it might be terrible.
Re: The Anime Thread
I loved the start, but the slow down in the second half was a bit disappointing.
