But.. to uninstall Apple Music, I would first have to install it, and I have enough sense to never do something like that.
Plus I don't think they even support Linux..

Apple being Apple, just the latest in a long line of them treating their audience with little regard.
Although does raise the question, if someone had their own copyrighted compositions stored on their cloud service and altered without their permission, wouldn't that leave Apple open to a lawsuit?

It's bigger than that. They're creating copies of copyrighted works that they don't have a licence to.

Saying that, I know it's only recently become legal to create back up copies of cd's in the UK, so then Apple would break the law in a country without a similar law since they've just created a copy? Also what happens if it's an illegal copy to begin with...
