Why didn't they use all of the big screens?
Why didn't they use all of the big screens?
They installed these lovely new massive screens and then just put some digital fire and the logo on them for the whole fest. Seemed like a waste of electric. Then for some reason they used the whole screen for the behemoth encore which looked amazing. I was hoping they'd do that again for mercyful fate but no such luck.

They used the whole things for some of Lamb of God too, but yeah seemed like a bit of a waste.

That was one big thing about the festival for me. First, the fire logo, I get it, but in the heatwave? Hahaha, just seemed a bit of a joke. NB - read that as light hearted, not a complaint.
But the few times for the headliners where they went full screen with it towards the end of the headliner sets was great. Why not do that for the whole thing? Keep the fire logo thing for between sets for their adverts and announcements, but just go fullscreen for the sets.

Was a shame. They were great for those of us who didn't want to go closer and allowed people chance to engage with the bands a little more.

Just seeing behemoth towering above the crowd just looked so awesome.
