This year we're in Vienna.
Here are the songs for the first semi final
Here are the songs for the second semi final
Here are the songs already in the final
The dates for the above rounds (SF1, SF2 and the Final) are the 19th, 21st and 23rd of May.
Some preliminary points:
- Sweden are current favourites to win, Italy are close behind.
- No metal songs this year, but Finland have a punk band.
- The UK's song is truly terrible. Again.
- Australia are competing. This is because there's (apparently) a huge following for the contest down under. They will not be regular competitors but they are eligible to win this year. If they do, the Australian broadcaster will host the contest in a European city for time zone purposes - presumably London.
I think that's everything. Have at it.

Seems like the UK was going for the Gramophonedzie feel, but royally fucked it up

Last year's effort for the UK was so good, I was hoping they would try and carry on with the idea of entering a credible song with a competent and respectable performer. Then that crock of shit landed. I'm not one to put the UK down just because it's the done thing, I like giving the BBC credit where it's due, but I will be shocked if it does better than the bottom few on the night.

Are we meant to read that in Wogan's voice or Graham Norton's?
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Australia's isn't terrible, kinda like a less douchey Bruno Mars.
Also this is far from the UK's worst entry. Depends on whether you can stand that kind of electroswing thing.

Yeah, I'm glad Australia are giving it a proper go. Can't see it winning but top 5 would be deserved.
I love electroswing, and this is an appalling example of electroswing. AFAIK the songwriter writes jingles for adverts for a living. You can really tell.

Wait is electroswing a whole legitimate genre now? I only ever heard that one song I linked. Who are the best ones knocking around? I love that shit.

There is absolutely no irony involved in my love of Eurovision.
However, I am out of the country when this year's final is on and will not be able to have my annual Eurovision party. This makes me exceptionally sad. This thread is SALT IN THE WOUND.

I just like laughing at foreigners. And our dismal effort.
Bring back Jeux Sans Frontières is what I say!

Caravan Palace are the band you've been waiting for all your life. Also check out Parov Stelar.

I guess I just outed myself as a total false poserfaggot in electroswing terms.

We've given up resurrecting the careers of artists famous 30 years ago I see
Pretty obvious the Aussie's are going to do well, what with it being a popularity contest; personally I'd like the blokes from the Foster's advert to do the commentary instead of Norton.

I think Australia have already agreed that if they win, Germany will host it.
