Re: A free-for-all thread
Going to Rock Werchter this year and its my pals birthday the Friday night we're there.
Need gift ideas, preferably sonething he can use at the fest, something he probably doesn't know exists and is hilarious. Firebox and the like not turning much up.
Suggestions?

I didn't know whether to put this in the LOL thread or not.
But Jacob Rees-Mogg has just named his kid Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher.
To go with his other kids: Alfred Wulfric Leyson Pius, Thomas Wentworth Somerset Dunstan, Peter Theodore Alphege, Anselm Charles Fitzwilliam and Mary Anne Charlotte Emma Rees-Mogg (A normal name!).
Far better than some celebrity names I suppose, at least they have a normal name in there as well as the slightly odd one.

Can you imagine a kid getting through the security gate, walking a mile down his driveway, avoiding getting pecked by the free-roaming pheasants and lowering the drawbridge on the moat to knock his castle door, just to get told Sixtus can't come out?
Jacob Rees-Mogg should be everything I hate but he's so cartoonish that he's strangely likable.

So how long do you think it'll be before all the missiles N. Korea, Japan and the US are firing into the sea as shows of force pile up to create an artificial landmass, which China then claims is part of their territory?

Most of North Korea's ones have only gotten about 50 yards so they have a lot of drifting to do before they even get near international waters

When I was a kid one of my water-pressured plastic rockets got stuck on the roof and stayed there for years and years.

I don't want to skit the guy as he's probably came to an unfortunate end.
But was he Oscar the Grouch or Top Cat?

Call the bands she books shit, then try to blag a tree ticket saying it's the best festival ever. Set up a wordpress account and tell her you'll review BOA 2018. Explain that the review would be good for exposure and resulting ticket sales for 2019. Good luck.
Or you could just talk about the nice weather like most strangers do in small talk.
If it sounds good, listen to it

There could be a beer carrying competition instead of the strongman thing.

As long as entry is free I'll try, I promise not to walk off with the beers more than 3 times and then come back to try again
