Re: Next Announcement
I used to really like Arch Enemy with Angela on vocals, she did a good job and the rest of the band wrote some really good material, I also enjoyed them a good deal live with her on vocals. The new line up of Arch Enemy I haven't been able to get into the recorded output and when I saw them live sup...

Re: Next Announcement
Death metal...Amon Amarth, Decapitated, Obituary and Possessed. Although Possessed were called thrash when they were originally around and Amon Amarth are considerably more melodic than the other three (stick a clean vocalist on their recent albums and people would be calling them power metal!). To...

Only just got home from HRH Metal and then seeing some family, still very keen on my new guitar so I'm pleased to come home to it: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/16142235_10154714676157745_7438603613250358264_n.jpg?oh=1b0016f344f39b8f485b8c383b4ff66c&oe=5942C282

Re: Next Announcement
I'd be amazed after the turn out for them last time. This, Trivium's crowd was the second smallest headliner crowd I've ever seen at BOA, can't ever see them headlining again. I agree but I'm curious who you saw that had a smaller audience? I'd have said Within Temptations on the same year was smal...

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Had a run of posters printed for a gig I'm promoting in Plymouth...managed to somehow send the only PDF of the poster in existence with the wrong date on it.
Really quite irritating.
Really quite irritating.

Re: Next Announcement
Nah. They would be one of the poorer bands from that era. More like Warrant or Nelson than anything of substance. An average Glam band down your local Rock boozer on a Tuesday night would've pissed over these guys. They're just a piss take for people that weren't there who think that all 1980s Heav...

Re: Next Announcement
So did everyone just disregard my Steel Panther comment? :P For once we all seemed to agree that they wouldn't work so didn't bother to reply :P  Essentially they're another (but far bigger) Evil Scarecrow, a good band to pick up the mood/get the crowd moving but not a band suited to headlinin...

Re: Next Announcement
Maybe nobody has mentioned Saturday's headliner yet? Immortal are starting to record a new album this month.................. I kinda wonder if Immortal without Abbath would be considered to be big enough a headliner by BoA, are Immortal even doing live dates anymore? I was always under the impress...

Re: Next Announcement
In Flames headlined in 07, definitely not big enough to headline now, special guests at best, haven't listened to them for ages, and they don't seem that popular with the BOA crowd anymore, so hopefully they won't get booked again any time soon. I'm not contesting your point because (like other peo...

Re: Next Announcement
I would ordinarily suggest that they'd be unlikely to announce Volbeat or Dream Theater to headline with a line up that is weighted as it is presently without at least announcing some supporting bands that soften towards a headliner of that nature based on that it'd be likely to be a mainstream meta...

Re: What has made you happy today
Played a fantastic gig last night supporting Hate and Noctem, really cool guys. Anyway the set went really well and a couple people bought a ticket just to see us and left after we got off stage which is definitely a new and very flattering experience (although not one I really understand haha). The...

Re: Next Announcement
As for a great show and personality? I love bands that have those attributes, shame I think MM, LB and Korn are devoid of them (well alright, Borland , Durst and MM have personalities but ones that annoy the hell out of me). But thats personal opinoin for you. As far as I've ever been able to tell ...

Re: Next Announcement
People suggesting that KoRn and Limp Bizkit are likely are kind of off target if history has taught me anything. More likely it'll be a different 2000's nu metal band from the Midlands or something that results in mostly blank stares and a few of the older guys going "oh yeah, that band, I reme...
