Re: What has made you happy today

Only just got home from HRH Metal and then seeing some family, still very keen on my new guitar so I'm pleased to come home to it: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/16142235_10154714676157745_7438603613250358264_n.jpg?oh=1b0016f344f39b8f485b8c383b4ff66c&oe=5942C282

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Had a run of posters printed for a gig I'm promoting in Plymouth...managed to somehow send the only PDF of the poster in existence with the wrong date on it.

Really quite irritating.

Re: What has made you happy today

Played a fantastic gig last night supporting Hate and Noctem, really cool guys. Anyway the set went really well and a couple people bought a ticket just to see us and left after we got off stage which is definitely a new and very flattering experience (although not one I really understand haha). The...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

DPD were supposed to deliver the new Amorphis album (and red vinyl of the same album) today...well, no, they were supposed to deliver it yesterday. Instead it was meant to be today...maybe it'll be tomorrow, we'll see. Their tracker description which says "your delivery is on its way" and ...

Re: What's upset you?

Not entirely sure "upset" is the word but it feels a bit more than a trivial grumbling and not enough to be an anger...it's largely about Bloodstock and how pointless the M2TM is starting to feel and how the festival seems to be drifting beyond what i was paying for these years. I dunno i ...

And that's before we consider George Obsorne going after the vulnerable like some kind of financial vampire.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

And people are wondering why all the lefties are pretty pissed right now.... Yes, I genuinely am. Because they're all fretting about irrelevancies like the NHS, austerity and the like, rather than the far more important outright attacks on our civil liberties that this bill will enact. I warned abo...

Re: movies

You have been exceedingly generous to the last 2 films there. Curse Of The Black Pearl is excellent, Dead Man's Chest is fun, just a bit messy, At World's End is an absolute heap of horse shit and On Stranger Tides is even worse, hideous hideous film. And yet they're going to a 5th. Oh dear. Curse ...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I love how every time they read out the votes at each seat the second the Lib Dems get told their (too low to be a majority) number the crowd cheer them sarcastically.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

The BBC have a little game trying to explain hung parliaments by getting you to form a coalition by adding various parties' seats to either Labour or the Tories. There evidently hasn't been much thought put into it after that as I managed to get Labour a majority with the help of the Lib-Dems along...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

Been up at Eradication this week and we parked the car in front of the office of the Liberal Democrats in Cardiff...interesting to note that it seems to be a common place for picking up hookers...there's a joke in there somewhere but at half 3 i'm too tired to find it.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

Yes road building works. You build one road and it's just as jam packed as the one it replaces. Just look at virtually every bypass scheme that has ever been built. Look at America for example, lanes as far as the eye can see yet they are clogged up. One train from London to Manchester could take o...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

off of 38 degrees 75% Green 60% Labour 50% UKIP 40% Lib Dem 36% Conservatives Those are the policies i agree with however i don't think the Greens are living in the real world so wouldn't trust them with the TV remote, Labour will probably win but Milliband doesn't seem like a man who can keep his w...
