Re: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly BOA 2023
The Good: General atmosphere is largely the same and it is still (for the most part) an incredibly chill and friendly festival. Quality of the food stalls seems to slowly be getting better each year. The return of bunnychow and the rotisserie chicken stalls were lifesavers for a man with a voraciou...

Re: It’s going to be hot, so….
Vicky has said on her IG stories that there will be additional sheltered spots. It's gonna be a brutal one. I remember 2015 being about 25°C and even that was gruelling due to the lack of cloud cover.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Judging by what you guys have said I'm not sure if I am going to even bother with the highlights for Extreme Rules.
Also agreed on the annoyance of smarky chants. I fucking despise the "one fall" and "We/this is awesome" chants with a passion.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Naito vs Omega G1 was expectedly fantastic! Very high standard set on the first day!
Also Hiromu Takahashi doesn't appear to have a broken neck which is great news.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I figured that's what you meant, but I can't help but take the piss out of people who say Meltzer only rates Omega/New Japan matches highly. He's given nine 5 or 5+ ratings this year and three of them were for NXT matches. I would say only Almas vs Gargano was worthy of the 5* treatment. The ladder...

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Anybody seen Cody vs Omega? From the sounds of it sounds like a meltzer 5* match (he has been pretty generous with his ratings as of late). My bro has a firestick so am probs gonna watch it tonight.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Saw the NJPW event @ MK last Saturday. https://i.imgur.com/SyqBbFm.jpg?1 Felt like a proper NJPW event, some fun matches, some really good matches, but still only "house show" level. The final match between Okada * Ishii vs. Suzuki & Zak was nuts though, Ishii vs. Suzuki's upcoming wa...

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I feel sorry for the 205 guys. I think it is stupid putting the show on after the main show where the crowd's energy is already zapped after having to endure hours of nothingness essentially. Watched Cedric Alexander vs Buddy Murphy which was a pretty decent 4* match in my eyes. I am also going to t...

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Smackdown has been laying the smackdown (pun intended) on RAW in terms of wrasslin and angle building. They definitely acquired AJ's services at the right time because that guy has been white hot since he came in. I love the irony of WWE now relying on the draw of homegrown TNA stars to bolster thei...

Re: Job Opportunities for Harry Potter, LOTR, GOT fans.
1 whole percent? Isn't that a bit generous? This is clearly a high-risk high-reward model guys I would steer clear. Not at all. The commission is purely given as an added incentive to drive sales. There are no repercussions for lack of sales or sales targets that would affect a person's job securit...

Job Opportunities for Harry Potter, LOTR, GOT fans.
Attention all Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and DC Comics fans. I am currently recruiting for full time sales roles within the company I manage. It would involve working in one of our concessions as a sales associate selling collectables and merchandise for the aforementioned lice...

God I remember that show! "Stay away from that...TRAP DOOR!" That theme has always stuck with me. RIP

Doing the trade show circuit at the moment. Normally I have to Fly from Nürnberg straight to Birmingham but for the first time in years there is a week break between shows.
EDIT: forgot to mention, high possibility of flying out to the New York one next year, all expenses paid

Re: What's upset you?
Having grown up in London i can confirm that as long the term p*ki and n*gger aren't used, non-whites do not give much of a fuck. Only ever seems to be white people who kick up a fuss over what terminology is deemed offensive. Coloured is a very general term that my parents and relatives used/use in...
