Re: Next Announcement

I've seen them quite a few times, they've always been ace, I think the main thing is that they do a lot of their new stuff other than the classics that they do all the time (FullMoon, Don't Say A Word etc), luckily for me, I'm one of those weird people that likes all of their stuff!

Re: Next Announcement

To be fair, it being Five Finger Death Punch would answer the question 'Why did you book King 810 and Hatebreed'. They do fit in the middle ground, average Bloodstockers can give them a bash and be entertained/enjoy the nostalgia trip, and they'd probably flog a few day tickets too, looking at the S...

Re: Next Announcement

I saw Galactic Empire recently and while they were excellent, there isn't really enough well know Star Wars music to maintain a whole set (they played the main theme twice). That really surprises me, they've got an eleven track album, and when they played Birmingham, they managed a full set beautif...

Re: Remember when......

I'll give Chelsea Grin and Whitechapel at least the benefit of the doubt, they had a lot of hype over here Really? I must be out of touch. I'd never heard of either before they were booked for Bloodstock. I was in Secondary School during the Bring Me The Horizon - Suicide Season sort of period, Whi...

Re: Remember when......

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a few day ticketers showed up for the Chelsea Grin/Whitechapel day and/or the King 810/Hatebreed day. I'll give Chelsea Grin and Whitechapel at least the benefit of the doubt, they had a lot of hype over here, whereas I honestly haven't heard anyone talk about Jas...

Re: Remember when......

As for Facebook, I would hope they realise that - whilst they will inevitably get positive feedback on just abut any booking - it's only those that are likely to turn up to the festival that really matter. That isn't a dig at King810 fans btw, but just something that needs to be considered when loo...

Re: Bands NOT playing BOA 2017

I think it's because last time Kreator played Bloodstock, Mille went 'THE NEXT TIME WE PLAY HERE WE'LL BE HEADLINING THIS FESTIVAL' while doing the whole Flag of Hate/Metal Sandwich thing, as I remember. I suppose the argument is that it'd seem kind of silly for them to come back if they're not head...

Re: M2TM

The main problem with M2TM seems to be that the judges put too much emphasis on how many people each band have been able to bring to the show and they let that influence their decision. So if a band has to travel to compete in M2TM because there isn't a heat being held in their hometown then they'v...

Re: Next Announcement Thread

I could see Bring Me the Horizon doing it soon, they have a bit more respect than some of the others. See, I would've thought BMTH are too big for Bloodstock, I think they're on a major label at a moment and are playing the 'bigger' festivals (I think they were just under Metallica at Reading). I e...

Re: Pythia

Good band, I saw them supporting Dragonforce in Birmingham, really enjoyed it. At the moment they're still going, just looking for a new singer, so it's definitely a possibility!

Re: Next announcement

I've got to be really honest, I'm pretty alright with this Trivium announcement. They're not a band I listen to, but they've got melody, some pretty well written songs, and I imagine they're pretty good live, as they've gotten as big as they have. We all have different tastes in Metal, I'd take Triv...

Re: Is the New Blood Stage working?

I'm beginning to wonder if there's another way to choose bands other than MTTM? A lot of bands may create a good atmosphere live, but either have nothing recorded, or just write songs that are as good as their competitors, which sort of kills the lasting appeal after you've seen them live. Of course...

Re: Next announcement

Back on topic, any band (preferably not core) who hasn't played before would be fine by me as then at least I have something to check out  See, I've got a sneaking suspicion that the people asking for non-repeats are gonna regret it. Suicide Silence, Bring Me the Horizon and Babymetal, coming ...

Re: My line-up for Bloodstock 2015

I can't see many pleasant things happening with Babymetal playing directly after Sodom and Swallow The Sun, haha! i0ths line-up would be a dream come true for me, though, the idea of Hansi Kursch appearing in 2 bands on the trot with a possible guest appearance in Van Canto's slot does things to me ...

Re: Possible Improvements to the New Blood Stage

The thing that I find daft about MTTM, and correct me if I'm wrong here Rob, but one band has to win each of the regional finals. Logically, if every band that entered one particular regions heats were all atypical BOA bands, say 10 metalcore bands and 10 screamo bands, then one of those bands woul...
