I watched the first episode of OITNB about a year ago but it didn't click with me at all. It should have done - it had boobs and everything - but it couldn't seem to make its mind up whether it wanted to be a serious drama or some kind of comedy so I never went back to it. Nope. Things suck like this, but a long-distance straight off would be way worse. Chances are she won't even be living in the UK soon. Ouch!
