Oh yes, i wasn't even aware there was a Paris download. That's good then, more to choose from if it comes down to repeat bookings, and they're a repeat that I wouldn't mind.

Re: Next Announcement Thread

I'm so happy, I'm already planning how drunk I'm gonna be. It's the only date in the UK on their farewell tour too which is unexpected and significant. Great booking.

Bloodstock is doing good this year so far. I hope it continues like this... But the skeptic in me... :|

Re: Next Announcement Thread

It's a logical announcement. I've had them in my bingo list for the past few years, thought it was bound to happen, they're just the right size. I'm not a fan, but I do like what I've heard so this is already better than last year. It could have been a lot worse, so I'm happy it's a step in the righ...

Here we go again. My selection I'm sure will be very similar to my last three years guesses.

Mastodon
Iron Reagan
Evile
Nightwish
Blind guardian
Kylesa
Twisted Sister
Nile
Winterfylleth
Alestorm

Re: Next Announcement Thread

I mean realistically we're looking Korn and MM playing/headlining within the next 2 years, that's judging by the recent booking policy anyway. Unless they suddenly switch back to booking real metal headliners, they're going to run out of these mid-range download bands that can get away with headlin...

Re: So Venom.....

Lets be honest, Behemoth weren't really big enough to headline when they did, never mind now. I would agree that they weren't big enough in a commercial sense, but they were big in the metal community. Especially considering they pulled out a few years ago due to Nergal's cancer, it was fitting for...

Re: Next year

Haha no wonder they don't take the forum seriously. On the one hand you've got people who want a special 15 year anniversary special full of bands who've played before, and on the other hand you've got people for whom booking repeats is an act comparable to desecrating Dio's grave.

Re: Difference between campsites?

I've camped everywhere except Midgard. Last year we were in Ironwood and I thought it was excellent, loads of space and a really good atmosphere. Midgard always looks like an absolute tip, especially the cross roads, but if you like partying all night and can't be bothered to walk for 2 minutes when...

Re: What's wrong with Bloodstock

So many valid points in this thread it's hard to acknowledge them all. Whoever said get a proper second stage to accommodate the old school fans is dead on. However, I can't help but think this would bring the price of a ticket up to like £200, then all of a sudden Bloodstock will be competing with ...

It's being renamed the Manomeister stage though, they're still divas.
