Re: Next Announcement

Not gonna lie, when I saw Acid Reign at the top of the announcement I had low expectations, but I'm actually impressed by the number of up and coming bands that they've booked, Svalbard, Conjurer, Green Lung and Idle Hands are all bands who have received loads of praise and who actually seem to be ...

Re: Next Announcement

Idle Hands released my favourite album of 2019, this is a fantastic addition to the line up. They're like trad metal but also inspired by the Cure. Anyone who sleeps on them is missing out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ7zio1w0Vg Same here bud! I'm absolutely ecstatic to see them on the bill, w...

Re: UK Death Fest

Bought my early bird ticket after that announcement; Autopsy, Nuclear Assault, and Massacre are all bucket list bands for me. :D Got a feeling Knotfest will consist of a lot of bands I've already seen before and I prefer smaller gigs/venues anywho. Very hyped for this!

Re: UK Death Fest

Sacramentum Is the only real draw, but it’s a big draw! Never thought they would get back together! Is Nuclear assault the first headliner? It’s a risk putting it on when Knottfest is on too. I wonder if both of those fest been scheduled for august has had an impact on the weak Bloodstock lineup. I...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last gig was Insomnium and Conjurer in Norwich last night. Went in knowing very little Insomnium and was very impressed - definitely a band I'll now be listening to a lot more on record! Conjurer were ace as always, and the crowd was surprisingly energetic for Norwich. Decking it on someone's spille...

Re: Next Announcement

Seems I'm the odd one out on the announcement, I thought it was pretty good  Enjoy all the bands to varying degrees except Winterfylleth who I can never get into. Bury Tomorrow are alright though agree not really a band I expected for BOA. I like Hatebreed but yeah, it's getting a bit much now...

Re: Next Announcement

Are all the bands hardcore? Nah, Exhumed and Necrot are death metal, Toxic Holocaust are thrash, and Winterfyllth are black metal. Checked out one Bury Tomorrow song; sound a lot more technical and djenty/groovy than Parkway Drive but still very melodic. Sylosis I haven't listened to get. Don't say...

Re: Next Announcement

Can't see any tours finishing around that time so I'm guessing we'll get a few smaller bands announced for the Sophie stage. Would love to see Code Orange make it this year (much to this forums disgust ) as its looking likely they'll have new music out by then. Last time they booked Code Orang...

Re: Knotfest - Milton Keynes Bowl - 22nd August 2020

Looking at £95 for fan club pre-sale tickets. Not too bad for a full day of music considering it was £70 a ticket for their own dates in January, but still too expensive for me and the same month as Bloodstock so already an expensive month!
