Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Poor modern footballer. It's not like they are playing every minute of 60 games a season like they did back in the day. Some of them whilst doing a normal job as they were deemed to be amateurs.

Re: movies
To be honest I haven't seen the recent ones.
I've seen the prequels and thought they were fine. Not classics, but entirely watchable as long as you don't compare them against the originals. I didn't even dislike Jar Jar Binks as much as I thought I would.

Re: movies
Empire Star Wars Return Correct order and the proper title as well. None of this "A New Hope" nonsense that appeared years later. From IMDB When the film was originally released in 1977, it was simply referred to as "Star Wars"; though supposedly, George Lucas had intended to in...

I've watched far too many Carry On films these last few days. I think I'm up to something like 16 so far.

Meh. Not even close to the most goals scored in a year. But anything that pisses off Alan Shearer is fine by me.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Can't be many matches where both managers get sacked. Both Boro and Wednesday sacked their managers even though they are both mid table. It's getting ridiculous.

Totally crap and pointless article on the BBC website about "battle jackets", we never called them that back in the day BTW.
