Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

But basically, fuck off with your misinformation and misplaced blame. Why is the economy shit? Why was austerity necessary? Because the last Labour government left it in such a mess. Has it been successful? Absolutely. Has the debt grown hugely in the last 7 years? Yes, it has. Has it grown by more...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

Many of the people that worked on the Pendelinos were the APT E and P Train lot. Led by Kit Spackman (AKA Mr Tilt). They all came from the aerospace sector and ended up working at RTC in Derby. They were then headhunted by Fiat. Even if the TOCs don't own the rolling stock then the leasing companie...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

There was nothing right wing about Ed Miliband (and anyone who had any idea of his family history would understand why - hint check out who his father was). The difference between Blair and Miliband (to an extent) is that they realised that actually winning the election was more important than stick...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

The Balairites are basically in agreement with the Tories on everything of substance. They don't have a problem with WHAT the tories are doing, but with HOW they are doing it. Sorry but that is absolute utter b*ll*cks. There is a huge amount of revisionism going on about "Blairism" not he...
