Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Brutal Assault. Talked about in on the Gigs subsection.

Next might be Bong at the Black Heart on the 25th, if can afford a trip to London before payday, then definitely going to see Abduction at the Dev on 5th September.

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Great festival. Stayed mostly dry and with lots of sun. Everyone friendly and prices relatively cheap (definitely higher than when I went in 2017, but still can't begrudge £2 a beer, £4 a double/absinth-lemonade, £4 cigarettes and around £4-6 for GOOD food) Frog Leap were good fun the opening night,...

Would want Mercyful Fate, but that won't happen and I'll end up going elsewhere to see them.

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Already had to change my flight to a different airport, but it leaves four hours after I had booked for originally (BA let me do it for free luckily) to make sure I avoid the heathrow strike, and now there are issues with the trains in CZK and will have to get a bus most of the way. They really need...

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Different websites say different things so far. Just hoping it's not above 30C sunshine and not drownload '16 type rain. A bit of rain here and there is no big deal.

Re: Dragonforce UK Tour

Their popularity peaked with the inhuman rampage album , been on a steady downhill slide ever since, barring the odd decent track. Their cover of ring of fire been surprisingly good. The popularity has fallen, but it hasn't been steadily downhill, they've just plateaued on a lower level. In fact th...

Re: Stonebaked Festival (June 2020)

I'm so out of touch with that style of doom. I recognize three bands, and have only listened to two because my brother plays them when he's round. Who have you heard of, out of interest? Four as it happens Chubby Thunderous Bad Kush Masters Boss Keloid Hundred Year old Man Morasses of Mollasses Gue...

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Only band I know on the last announcement is Altarage, but love them! And any more bands I really like it would just make clashes worse. Final Lineup: (even though ambient stage is to come they call it the final lineup) ABORTED AFTER THE BURIAL AGNOSTIC FRONT ALIEN WEAPONRY ALTARAGE ANAAL NATHRAKH A...

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Ouch, that sucks. I hate own goals like that. My return flight with bags was £144 total from Heathrow, wouldn't have been able to swing an extra £130

^ I would like to see Slayer, Alcest and Amon Amarth, but not enough to go for the full day when my budget is stretched enough by Brutal Assault.

Only aware of Archgoat, but they're one of my favourite bands. Will do my best to make this.

Will be at Brutal Assualt during this, lucky they got added there then. I've still not seen the band in the UK! Alongside Autopsy my favourite OSDM band.
