Re: Stonebaked Festival (June 2020)

I'm so out of touch with that style of doom. I recognize three bands, and have only listened to two because my brother plays them when he's round. Who have you heard of, out of interest? Four as it happens Chubby Thunderous Bad Kush Masters Boss Keloid Hundred Year old Man Morasses of Mollasses Gue...

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Only band I know on the last announcement is Altarage, but love them! And any more bands I really like it would just make clashes worse. Final Lineup: (even though ambient stage is to come they call it the final lineup) ABORTED AFTER THE BURIAL AGNOSTIC FRONT ALIEN WEAPONRY ALTARAGE ANAAL NATHRAKH A...

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

Ouch, that sucks. I hate own goals like that. My return flight with bags was £144 total from Heathrow, wouldn't have been able to swing an extra £130

Re: Download Festival 2019

^ I would like to see Slayer, Alcest and Amon Amarth, but not enough to go for the full day when my budget is stretched enough by Brutal Assault.

Only aware of Archgoat, but they're one of my favourite bands. Will do my best to make this.

reusable cups is a great idea at the European fests and I'm glad they are doing the same.

Will be at Brutal Assualt during this, lucky they got added there then. I've still not seen the band in the UK! Alongside Autopsy my favourite OSDM band.

Knew they would clash Mayhem and Asphyx, glad I didn't get tickets for that.

Re: Brutal Assault 2019

We kick off with true death metal legends INCANTATION. These unholy priests are the originators of equally unholy, blasphemous and rotten death metal that has been recently imitated to the proverbial death, but alas no epigons can match these ungodly desecrating goatfathers of the genre. The band w...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last - 8th time seeing Dead Can Dance at Hammersmith Apollo last night. Worst one so far. Brendan was so off key it was painful to watch. I don't think he can't sing anymore, he still has a powerful voice but yesterday was not his day. Next: 9th time seeing Dead Can Dance also at Hammersmith Apollo...

This the thing with Draugurinn on the bill? Probably they'll be the only band I want to see, can't stand folk metal.

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

I was expecting the Encoffination gig to be empty considering I am Morbid, Vital Remains, Sadist and Atrocity are playing on the same day Must admit I was torn between the two but Morbidfest is twice the price so I've gone with the cheaper option. Hopefully it won't but if it gets cancelled, I know...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last: Midnight + Hellripper + Aggressive Perfector + Heavy Sentence a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant gig and I picked up an awesome long sleeve Hellripper tee for £15. Kinda puts those Manowar prices in to perspective!! Hellripper are my favourite new band (or artist really) at the moment. He seems...

Re: Rock/Metal YouTubers

Only slightly less cringy than those awful videos of people reacting to songs. You are so right!! I've watched a few "hip-hop heads" reacting to some kind of hard-rock/metal video supposedly with enthusiasm and passion for the song. They're all so incredibly fake and obvious click-bait fo...
