Re: Next Announcement

Emperor would guarantee my attendance but sadly can't see it. Supposedly all headliners and special guests were locked in a while ago but couldn't announce for contractual reasons. And there is no reason Emperor couldn't have been announced. Add to that that all the 3rd slots are filled (Testament,...

Re: So Venom.....

Lets be honest, Behemoth weren't really big enough to headline when they did, never mind now.

Venom were good at Hellfest this year but not in a big rush to see them again.
Plan on doing Brutal Assault next year for a change.

Re: Rumours

Devildriver are indeed pish. Think I'd prefer Coal Chamber to Devildriver as at least you could laugh at them for a minute or so. Devildriver just fall into that Lamb of God school of Metal, dull as fuck.

Re: Rumours

They are playing Hellfest this year as I plan to see them there, headlining one of the tent stages.

Re: Rumours

Venom could easily do a decent main stage slot on nostalgia alone.

Re: Rumours

I could easily see Raging Speedhorn play the tent. Hopefully when something good is on the main stage.

Re: Next announcement

Granted, RZ is probably the act that could sway the most heavily either way in terms of entertainment (I call it the 'Motorhead live effect' >_>). . I've always found Motorhead to be unfathomably dull live and Rob Zombie just plain old shit. As for BLS, last time I saw them, Zakk Wylde wasted a thi...

Re: Next announcement

Saw Rob Zombie twice, some years ago now. Once at Birmingham Academy, where he spent half of the show complaining about how he couldn't do his full stage show whilst the other half sounding like he couldn't be arsed to be there. After that at Hellfest, might have been 2011 as previously mentioned. G...

Re: Sophie stage headliners

Anaal Nathrakh just announced for Wacken. If they're about in August, they could be a good second stage headliner.

Re: Trivium.....guess that's me on the pint list...again

You're gonna need a bigger (second stage) tent. Ever since I bought a Hellfest ticket, I've had my doubts about going. I do think, by and large, the undercard is liking pretty good but the fact that the three headliners I have no desire to see, will hardly see me rush out and buy a Bloodstock ticket...

Re: Next announcement

This year, they really do need good 2nd stage alternatives to all 3 headliners.

Certainly has been the case for quite a few years now. This year was particularly underwhelming. Next year looks marginally better so far but still nothing to write home about.
