Re: Next Announcement

Into the grave has just been cancelled, it shares some bands with Bloodstock and same weekend so it's only a matter of time before Bloodstock is cancelled. if bands can't play any European festivals, can't see Bloodstock being an exception, even if organisers try to continue regardless (in that scen...

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

Got me a Ziltoid hand puppet to support ol' Devin and to break the tedium a bit. I approve of this, also one positive of this situation is that Devin is making new music and tweaking old ones whilst in lockdown (all on livestream too). All of it is on YouTube completely free to listen to. It amazes...

Re: Coronavirus

Till is in intensive care apparently. One news report I just saw says he is "at risk of death" Scary times Rammstein have reported that whilst Till was in ICU for one night, he tested negative for Covid19 which is good to hear. Just shows how horrible the media is these days on trying to ...

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

I can't see this pandemic going away anytime soon and we may be in this boat for several months+. This whole thing has already done some damage to the live scene and will continue to do so and now starting to impact festivals - Download have just announced their cancellation so it's only a matter of...

Re: Next Announcement

What made you buy a ticket in the first place? This is quite possibly the worst BOA line up there's ever been.... and I'm including the times it was a 1.5 day fest in 2005 and 2006. If looking for something else to do during the same weekend, the best festival in Europe just happens to be taking pl...

Re: Next Announcement

Glad I sold my ticket, didn't think it would get any better

Also Bloodstock has had 9 bands on Main Stage each on Fri/Sat/Sun every year for a long time now, just checking back on some of the previous year posters shows this.

Re: Next Announcement

The Sophie headliners playing after the main stage headliners are usually on way too late in the day for most people, especially on a Sunday. Perhaps they could do what Sonisphere used to do and a few Euro fests where you have the Tent headliner on at the same time as the Main stage headliner and t...

Re: Next Announcement

Yeah, it's definitely a miss for me & my group this year (ten of us altogether in 2018) - some are doing a day at Download, some are going to the eurofests. I'm going to see the bands I thought BOA might book (Delain, Helloween, VoA) on their own tours, and catch Saxon & Winterfylleth at th...

That's what I don't understand as Nuclear Blast have way better bands in their roster that would fit Bloodstock

Re: Next Announcement

Oh fuck, Hatebreed At least they're last on on the Sophie stage Sunday night so are very easy to dodge. This is certainly true, and it's quite funny that they've been dropped down to the Sophie stage. Not necessarily, Sophie headline imo is the second best slot of the festival as not only is it las...

Re: Next Announcement

Well I'm disappointed as nothing for me with this announcement, but will have to check out some of those bands as not heard most of them.

Whilst I'm happy to see Paradise Lost bumped to SG, it is surprising and the festival must be really struggling to book bands...

Re: Next Announcement

Personally I enjoy this forum. Keeps me up to date with rumours and announcements. More importantly I get to k

now about gigs going on that I wouldn't know about. I'm not very tech savvie so am unsure how I would find out about all the gigs otherwise Same for me! I don't have Facebook o...
