Re: What has made you happy today

Might have a house viewing tomorrow. If it's decent we'll have parking, a garden and will be saving £140 a month on rent. Also, I hear the current tenants have a dog, so hopefully I can convince my boyfriend to get a pet! :D

Re: Arrest at Bloodstock???

I hadn't heard about the rapist. That's really awful. I agree with houston...I think some people tend to think they can do whatever they want in the more relaxed festival atmosphere. I guess being drunk/drugged up only amplifies whatever fucked up thoughts you already have (not an excuse in any situ...

Re: Arrest at Bloodstock???

No problem :)
Apart from that one incident I didn't see anything apart from people getting drunk and having fun, so I wouldn't say it was a bad year.

Re: Arrest at Bloodstock???

I mentioned it in the Good/Bad/Ugly thread about a guy who assaulted a woman in the arena. He was apprehended by security staff pretty sharpish and they kept him in there. Would have thought the police were called, so perhaps it was that guy?

Re: 2015 - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Well, he definitely got apprehended by security in the Bloodstock Arms but I think he was kicking off in there too and that's why. To be honest I was pretty disgusted by the people who stood by and did absolutely nothing, the volunteer stewards and festival-goers alike. I was watching the whole thin...

Re: 2015 - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Good - Sabaton (and I'm not even that big of a fan). Spent more time in the New Blood tent this year just to get out of the heat and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the bands there. The range of ales in the Bloodstock Arms was better this year (although they did run out of a few and some were ...

Fifteen minutes until the end of work. Might sneak off a bit early as the office is absolutely dead.

One more day of work. Just got to get through until 5 o'clock. Got all my stuff ready last night so just have to chuck it in the car when I get home.

Ha ha. Pulled pork. :P #Childish  Pulled pork roll from the huge van that only selled pulled pork was fucking awesome tbf. I think it was from that place. A couple of members of our camp had an....unpleasant experience to say the least. I think a few pairs of pants were sacrificed

Re: Pasta at the 'Stock.

I agree. The noodles tend to be pretty average and shouldn't mess with your guts too much. Avoiding the pulled pork roll is probably a good shout (if you're not veggie)

Re: What pissed you off today

Came home from Wacken to find a card through the door. "We tried to deliver your package, but you weren't home, so we left it in your wheelie bin". WTF? It's just fortunately we came home yesterday night rather than today as originally planned. The bins were emptied this morning. I've had...

Re: What pissed you off today

Think this would normally go in trivial grumblings, but having one of those days and this has just really got on my nerves...Sent out a newsletter to staff which was provided by a company we work with and apparently one of the links to a site referenced in it doesn't work. Had an email back from a m...

Re: Excited?

To be fair, I'm taking a three season bag with me. I got a whole three man section to myself, but I always find that the bigger tent space per person, the colder it gets at night Managed to get a pretty decent Vango one for just over £19. Got some of those self inflating sleeping mats too which I t...

Re: The (speculative) Weather Thread

Really nice here as well. The weather can't be as bad as last year's storm though, surely? For the moment I'm just going to believe Accuweather as it's the best forecast I've found
