Re: Download Festival 2020

Machine Head have self-confirmed. Of course they'd on a Download by Numbers line-up. I fully expect Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium, Dragonforce, Killswitch Engage and In Flames to be there too. Where'd the self-confirm? Interesting that they'd play Download a week after Ally Pally & Birmingha...

Re: Download Festival 2020

Most of those bands are creeping into their early to mid 50's already; it'll buy them a few extra years grace but it's not the long term solution they need. They need some bands to blow up big in the next few years or they'll be screwed. DL needs to take smaller risks now (e.g. bumping a sub like A...

Re: Obligatory weather topic

Using the MetOffice (only one I really have any trust in) it doesn't look too bad, not great, but not terrible

Re: Next Announcement

Have Tesseract been confirmed for being special guests or is it the line up page not being correctly formatted? I'm guessing a screw up on the page, as I can't see them being above Children of Bodom. They are on the same line as Bodom / Cradle of Filth on the poster though so I expect they'll be 4t...

Very happy with this, brilliant way to finish Sunday night!

Fully expecting something pretty heavy on Saturday now, Behemoth/Dimmu top 2 for Saturday?

I think Friday takes it for me just with that top 3 run.

Every day has plenty I want to see though!

Re: Next announcement

I'm happy with Alestorm, thought they were really good in Glasgow. Like a lot of folk though I'm glad they're not subbing, they'll be great around 6pm with a few beers

Re: Fantasy Booking / Book the Rest of the Fest

AVATAR - they seem to be getting more popular all the time and are releasing a new album next year. Also playing a lot of festivals so could make their first Bloodstock appearance assuming Download doesn't get them. Also got a really good rep as a live band so would definitely be interested in seei...

Re: Next announcement

Reasonably happy. Never seen Kamelot so they'll be good, ST will be brutal.
Wednesday 13 I'm wondering if they'd be better suited to have bee on Sophie, but I enjoy them anyway.
Not sure how Mr Big will go down

Re: Next announcement

Can anyone see Children Of Bodom making an appearance? Been a few years since their last slot and they've been announced for a few other festivals I think. Subbing Gojira on Saturday maybe? Played 3rd down last time, haven't really gotten bigger while the festival has, 3rd/4th down main stage would...
