Re: Incoming In Flames May UK dates

ULU a tiny venue for them, saw behemoth there about 12 years ago These are all pretty tiny venues for them. Last year they packed out the SWX in Bristol and are returning to the Thekla which is considerably smaller. They are doing quite a few UK shows though, so maybe they're doing more smaller sho...

Re: Primal Fear + Freedom Call - London - 25/09/20

Got my ticket and hotel for this :)

Never seen Primal Fear before, but have been a casual fan for a good number of years, and Freedom Call were great fun the time I saw them in 2018 so this should be a top night!

Re: Whitesnake, Foreigner & Europe UK Tour 2020

Whitesnake are one of my favourite bands of all time so I have been waiting for this announcement! Ticket for the O2 Arena booked :) All three bands will be great despite the fact Foreigner have been playing the same songs over and over since Kelly Hansen took over as vocalist.

Re: W.A.S.P - "1984 TO HEADLESS" UK/IRE TOUR OCTOBER 2020

Really temped by this, as they've been great the three times I've seen them, but after they cancelled their Bristol show in 2017 an hour before the door time I've got reservations. They never even acknowledged the cancellation or apologised, just left the security to turn away disappointed punters -...

Re: Female Metal Voices

I'm surprised at the negative comments regarding Leaves' Eyes. Sure, the politics was unpleasant. But in terms of the music, I'd say they're better than ever these days. Yes, I may be biased because I'm friends with Elina. But I don't think so. Actually, after the announcement I thought she was the...

Re: Status Quo UK Tour 2020

I'll probably try and get to one of these. The new album Backbone is a strong one, and they were great a few months ago with Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The recently reformed prog metal act are yet to schedule any UK shows, so Bloodstock might be a good shout? A European headline tour is planned for Spring 2020, so I assume they'll do a few festivals afterwards.

I'll be heading to London for this one - three great bands in my book :)

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

Little concerned with Vicky`s Twitter is going somewhat overboard that Parkway Drive`s 2019 Bloodstock set was the best show ever?? It's getting a bit tedious isn't it? Barely any of the other bands have had a look in. I didn't watch PWD, but the general consensuses seems to be that they were not m...

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

Queensryche - so glad they finally got to play and really enjoyed them. I did find the set list a little odd (with so many old tracks) and there wasn't a lot of movement from the band, but La Torre's vocals were incredible. They were my joint set of the weekend, so its sad to see that so many other...

Re: Grand Magus UK & IRE Tour 2020

I agree about their set lengths. I wouldn't travel that far to see them, but as they're playing in Bristol and the ticket was cheap I thought it was worth a little trip up there.

Re: Grand Magus UK & IRE Tour 2020

I'm glad they're not announcing shows in November - as my November is already pretty busy so anything announced for it now is probably going to clash with something else or be a on a day I can't make for work reasons. I am hoping to get to the Bristol show of this tour :)

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

Actually I should add smoking in general to my 'bads'. It just seems that there is nowhere you can stand anywhere in the main festival site without someone next to you immediately lighting up a cigarette. This obviously isn't too bad outside (although I still find it annoying), but in the tents it c...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

Good: - All of the bands that I was looking forward to were at least 'good', with many being much better than that. My top three sets were from Queensryche, Dee Snider, and Sabaton - Discovering a few new bands which I shall check out further in due course - The fact it took me about 10 minutes from...
