Thank Christ for that. Emoscreamo rubbish is one thing, but BOA can't start booking rappers !

Re: PARKWAY DRIVE - CONFIRMED AS BLOODSTOCK 2019 SATURDAY NIGHT HEADLINER

I reckon they'll shift loads of day tickets for Parkway, if that impacts weekend though then could be a poor trade off. Yep - any the further problem there is "let's turn up an hour before PWD, watch the end of whatever is on before them", as if it's a normal show. These folks don't spend...

One of the Facebook admins has already had to shoot down a Bring Me The Horizon rumour. It's not great that people took it seriously !

Re: Next Announcement

Watching the Download film last night, I can safely and happily say I don't mind if they keep booking these awful emoscreamocore bands - At least they're not booking rappers.

Re: Next Announcement

I imagine that Manowar are right out of contention already now ? They've never been in contention, their demands are way beyond what Bloodstock could afford or even want to bow down to. From Simon Hall's social media posts it's reasonable to presume the two have spoken before but got nowhere near a...

Re: Next Announcement

I am almost expecting Behemoth, Devin Townsend and Volbeat next year. I figure Saxon will be there too as they headlined the first year and 2020 is the 20th anniversary. Saxon have also said they have some special shows lined up for 2020. Saxon in the sunshine would be glorious. Especially if Biff ...

What awful rumours are circulating this time ?

It'll be fun to see if they can top the Parkway drama with whoever they've picked.

Re: Next Announcement

Manowar having a touch of the Blackie Lawless I see.

Shame for the fans - there can't have been anything stopping them pulling out in time to allow another headliner in.

I imagine it'll be something stupid like "they wouldn't let us play at 200 decibels".

Considering there's barely any room nor a sound system that can be heard beyond two lines of people a decent crowd isn't what you want :eyes:

Re: Bands with a gimmick

Beyond the Black - there's no writer in the band, no stable membership, a rotating list of session players allowing tours / albums. There is a very pretty girl fronting the whole thing. Napalm Records are veeeery good at selling that kind of gimmick. There's a reviewer that slams that whole trope as...

No problem - the small stages are actually looking pretty decent (especially by comparison with the main lineup) - looking forwards to lurking in the tents a lot more this year !
