Re: Next Announcement

So is it because its priest that no one is up in arms about a repeat booking like they were with Slayer, Megadeth and many more that had more of a gap? I dunno, Nearly every other post on this thread since the announcement has been people saying its too soon. Me included. I like a few Mercyful Fate...

Re: Next Announcement

I like a few Mercyful Fate records but I hope to *insert deity of choice* that an SG slot isn't wasted on them. King Diamonds voice is truly awful now. He sounds like Tiny Tim. At least Tiny Tim sang in tune. I feel like if they are booked it will be on account of their status as a classic act rath...

Re: Next Announcement

Not a bad announcement but also it is hardly an earth shattering one. Priest were great last year but it was only last year. Love Behemoth though they wouldnt have been my first choice. All in all not too shabby. Hoping for some solid SGs and Sophie headliners

Re: Next Announcement

Personally hoping for Mayhem headlining the Sophie Stage, Avatar in a main stage slot and Accept in an SG slot!

Re: Next Announcement

 I get the joke and all that but when the old guard inevitably pass away these will be the bands that will stock the line up of festivals. So...yeah, they are the future of metal! Not to come over all metal archives, but really ? there's plenty of life in the metal-metal scene (even thrash !) ...

Re: Next Announcement

Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Helloween, Saxon, Amon Amarth, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, Accept, Judas Priest : If at least two of these are not in the headline/SG/hour slot and substituted with sub-Copping hipster metal bands then BOA can GTF next year Watching some piss awful shouty version of Holy Diver...

Re: Next Announcement

Devin, Devin, Devin. I have tried. Oh how many times I have tried but I just cant get into his stuff. Trust me I'm all for giving bands the fair time they deserve to truly appreciate what they do but whatever it is that DT is doing still eludes me. A number of years ago I felt exactly the same and ...

Re: Next Announcement

Has to be Volbeat looking at the tours that are ending around that time. Devin has a december tour and Amon Amarth and Ghost in October/November. Other than Mercyful Fate Volbeat are the only headliner level band who have a tour finishing then. On a personal level that would be incredible. Seen them...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

The Good - Witch Tripper...that is all  No seriously, the security and fans were as welcoming and friendly as ever. Band wise I was really impressed with Powerwolf, Cancer Bats, Soulfly, Parkway, Death Angel, Footprints in the custard and as previously mentoned Witch Tripper. Special mention to...

Re: Next Announcement

Would be happy with any of them except Devin personally. I find him and his music about as inspiring as a lettuce sandwich but that's just my view. Priest would be after that as they have headlined recently. Then Trivium because the new album was incredible. Then Behemoth for the same reason then in...

Re: Next Announcement

Its weird really the big main stage bands haven't been to my taste this year apart from powerwolf, sabaton and soulfly. I know very little of the bands in today's announcement but I'm not against doing my homework before hand. I am actually really looking forward to the unknowns this year
