Re: The Still drinking But in Isolation thread

I've started drinking more varieties of rum. Brewdog's 'hundred cuts' is pretty nice. My homebrew mead production died down after I moved house at the start of the first lockdown -- had to bottle ~8 gallons before moving, so I didn't have many bottles to decant into -- but I've started ramping up pr...

Re: Bloodstock 2020 car parking ticket vaild for next year?

Although parking isn't explicitly mentioned in the 2020 cancellation announcement, it's stated that tickets for 2020 will be valid next year.

Re: Amenities improvements/requests

Making the portaloo areas less mudbathy would be great. Never seen any point in showers at a festival though -- baby wipes, dry shampoo, and deodorant is all you need. Bin bags with a deposit scheme could be a good idea. A lot of stalls already accept card payment, more of that is great. However, Bl...

Re: Next Announcement

Happy with Dimmu. However, I'd rather listen to nails down a chalkboard than KD "singing", so I'll give MF a wide berth.

Re: European Metal Festival Alliance

First day was alright. Sat out in the hammock, soaked up a bit of sun, and got rained on a couple of times. Almost like being at Bloodstock.

Seemed to peak at around 2.5k people streaming at once, which is a bit underwhelming, but I enjoyed myself.

Re: Next Announcement

Bloodstock interviewed Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) for the Metal Alliance Festival. Considering Lacuna Coil aren't playing the festival, and they haven't played Bloodstock since 2014, it seems like an odd choice. I wouldn't expect LC to be headliners again, but I think there's a good chance they'...

Re: European Metal Festival Alliance

Personally looking forward to Rotting Christ and Heidevolk, as well as reliving the Sabaton set.

Re: How can you submit suggestions for the festival

There's the wishlist subforum for requesting bands, although none of the organisers have troubled themselves to look in it for the past ~10 years or so.

Aside from that, there's contact information listed at https://www.bloodstock.uk.com/pages/contact-us

Re: Next Announcement

So, they deleted my account for posting that screenshot. If it's any consolation I doubt that was the intent. The 12 year old that they employ to run the website probably clicked the wrong button. Given how the last few forum "upgrades" went, the time it took to figure out how HTTPS works...

Re: Next Announcement

Yeah, but lets not forget that a lot of Americans seem to think that bullets will protect them from the virus, and that by being told to keep a 2m distance from each other their god-given 'Murican Freedoms are being stolen. We can only hope that, if the lockdown continues for a prolonged period over...
