Re: What made you Lol Today?
Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree that renationalising isn't necessarily the solution. My point was really just about the current inadequacy of the system to meet commuters' needs. Corbyn's photos were obviously a publicity stunt from the start, that was never in doubt, and I say that as someone who a...

To be fair, our trains are appallingly overcrowded. As a daily rail commuter into London, I have to deal with sardine can style carriages every day. It's vile.

Re: What pissed you off today
Instagram. What a load of shit. I generally despise social media and all the passive aggression, narcissism, sychophancy and tacit bragging that goes with it, but as a professional photographer I kinda felt I had to use at least one platform to keep my work in the public eye, so I stuck with Instagr...

Well most people don't need anywhere near that much.
I work in CGI effects for films. We need all the RAM and GPU power we can get.

My colleague behind me got a brand spanking new computer with 128Gb RAM and a £5000 24Gb graphics card in it. He's now sitting spinning one of his work scenes around in high speed to show off.
I'm fucking jelly. Seriously. I need a new machine.

Re: Wacken ban bags, BOA seem to be considering it?
You're surprised that sometimes Heavy Metal fans might not be supporters of religious law? Really? That's not what he said. He said he's surprised that there are people who actually believe that elements of fundamental religion are being covertly introduced into European law. Perhaps you threw out ...

Re: Wacken ban bags, BOA seem to be considering it?
It genuinely surprises me that there are so many heavily right leaning people on here who think the government are trying to covertly introduce elements of fundamental Islam into our law system and society, that's chemtrails tin-foil-hat wearing levels of stupidity. Going back to when I first start...

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Stranger Things is damn good. I binged the entire series on Saturday. It has its flaws but on the whole it was excellent, a really nostalgic throwback to the films I grew up with. Great casting, good storytelling, mostly good pacing. Some dodgy effects work but that's to be expected in a TV series ...

Re: Wacken ban bags, BOA seem to be considering it?
If yhen want to implement a seperate queue for bags, etc, and search them, that's reasonable. If yiou want to take your bag, join the slower queue. An outright ban gets into what we used to call "letting the terrorists win", that is, where you significantly change what you do as a result ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings
Oh, right. Yeah that does sound kinda stressful. Funnily enough I often think I'd have really enjoyed a career in the theatre, working behind the scenes in that sort of capacity. I find the theatre endlessly thrilling. But I guess it's easy to imagine a line of work as being fun when you're not actu...

Re: A free-for-all thread
Is it me or do political YouTube videos with "Banned video" smack of "this video wasn't ever banned but we'll say it is so people can feel edgy watching it"? It's not just you. Playing the "we've been censored for our views!" persecution card is a tactic employed parti...
