Re: Mainstage Sound
I bought that cylinder case from a shop online because the case it currently comes with is not simple to use. Never had a problem removing these ones as your not supposed to stick them that far down your ear! Oh I didn't mean they're hard to remove, just that once you've taken one out it's easy to ...

Re: Mainstage Sound
I do have a pair of those Alpine earplugs but they're a few years old and came with a cylindrical case: https://www.alpinehearingprotection.com/earplugs/d1291b1da663dcd1b447e8ff52151f84/Alpine-Travelbox.png If they've changed to a different case, I would guess it's because it was quite easy for one ...

Re: Mainstage Sound
Not to be preachy but in all seriousness, do get earplugs. Hearing damage happens very quickly and is irreversible. They're not necessarily dear - £17 for these Alpine ones from Amazon for example. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alpine-MusicSafe-Filter-Plugs-Musicians/dp/B000VO8PR0/ I won't go near any amp...

Re: Rate the bands
I saw Overkill last time they were at BOA and again this year, and both times I thought they were perfectly fine - but my girlfriend hated them (specifically Blitz's voice). Personal taste, isn't it? Bobby Blitz just has one of those unique voices that divide people. I don't like listening to Bob Dy...

Re: Mainstage Sound
(Just to be clear, I wasn't involved in any way with this year's festival so this is all conjecture. I'm happy to be corrected/contradicted by anyone more in-the-know than me! :) ) I would say there's no single answer to this as there's umpteen factors that all fit together to make or break live sou...

Re: Videos from BOA 2015
So with no official live stream this year, I wonder if we'll actually get to see any of the main stage video. I can't imagine they wouldn't record it all. Any chance it might show up on Scuzz or something?

Yeah, all good points.
I did enjoy the singer from Dark Angel repeatedly insisting that we were in Birmingham

Re: So Venom.....
I dont think JP would cost too much more than a Slayer, Megadeth, or anyone else they've booked recently, but that's just a guess. If it's Slayer again I would be so disappointed. Even with the fact I dont really like them, they were very poor last time and shouldn't come back again so soon. For me...

Re: "Find of the Festival" / New, Exciting Discoveries
Even though the Jäger stage is the smallest of the festival's stages I guess I'm not sure why they had top billing. Unlike the RJD and Sophie stages, I don't think the Jäger stage really has a billing order. It's just a bunch of bands playing and Hanowar happened to be on last. But even were they a...
