Re: POLL: The EU Referendum

Well I'm sad enough to be sat up watching the results coming in from around the country and it's certainly proving intersting and very close this early in the counting! One thing that has been good to see during the results coverage is the turnout at the polling stations, by all accounts more people...

Re: Forum chatroom?

The best use of it would be to move the Q&As to it. Then have an hour live chat with one of the organisers from time to time Certainly that is part of the plan. I was also hoping that having something like this might help gravitate users back towards the forum, I guess we don't know until we try!

Forum chatroom?

There is a facility on the forum which Lee has installed to enable a chatroom, do you think this is a good idea, do you see there being much mileage in it? Do people even use chatrooms still or is that another thing lost to social media 'convenience'? My thinking is that as well as chatting amongst ...

Re: Loners and newbies

This has always been a great idea and should definitely carry on, not that anyone is ever really on their own at Bloodstock! 'I'm not up to speed with things in this area but I have seen mention elsewhere on the forum about a Facebook group, admittedly I haven't seen it myself, but despite it's name...

Re: my first bloodstock festival

Welcome aboard! One thing you'll definitely appreciate as a Download veteran is the closer proximity of everything once you're on-site! Another thing is the the atmosphere, that legendary Bloodstock 'vibe', there's just something about it that sets it apart from the others...... As for bands, check ...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Amazing to think that this thread was originally posted by Lee all those years ago to push the boundaries as the then webmaster wouldn't let us have an off-topic section! In those days you could discuss Bloodstock, metal in general or nothing!

Re: The rather morbid celebrity RIP Thread.

Not a celebrity in the traditional sense of the word but a voice probably known to us all, Phil Sayer, 62, whose voice was heard on most of the automated PA systems on railway and tube stations across the UK, died on Thursday. Writing on their Facebook page, his wife Elinor Hamilton said: "Phil...

Re: Meet the team!

Just wanted to say (to be fair a lot later then I should have!) that I deliberately took a step-back in this thread as I can't really answer subjectional opinions on lineups, genres and what they should/shouldn't be as that's very much down to the individual and there's no right or wrong arguments t...

Re: Meet the team!

Ah yes, glad someone mentioned the (in)famous forum whinging! Personally I don't think that whinging is an entirely fair or accurate term as people are perfectly entitled to and should be expressing their opinions on anything which directly affects their own Bloodstock experience - be it a band anno...

Re: Meet the team!

Facebook will get a typical response of "Bloodstock, you're shit" (well probably more likely 'Bludstok ur fuken shit') ....hit and run and non-constructive, whereas on the forum you will get "Bloodstock, you're shit BECAUSE......" and away we go, and it's exactly that I want to ...

Re: Meet the team!

You can slag off whoever you want.... I'm a big fan of straight talking  II'll probably be looking into doing some regular q&a's with various team members.... obviously there are some we will all want to be chatting with at length (who doesn't want to talk about next years bar offerings!) b...

Re: Meet the team!

 For a while this place has felt disregarded, hopefully this is a sign the forum's not going to just be left to die a well of self-pity following the march of Facefuck over everything. Social media is great and has certainly made things more convenient for everybody as a way of getting informa...
