Re: Personal opinions on VIP
As above. I've paid less than £100 for full festivals with decent bars, toilets, ability to park next to your tent (and that's before we get to line-ups). Never-mind a bloody 'upgrade' on a £135 ticket. Anyone considering VIP would be better off using the money to go to a festival in mainland Europe.

While true, the two times I've seen them (including Beermageddon) they haven't played any songs that pre-dated 2010. Quite strange really.

Re: BLOODSTOCK REVEAL TEN MORE BANDS PLUS MORE CLUB NIGHTS
Joining the Sophie Lancaster Stage line-up on Friday are MESSIAH’S KISS (https://www.facebook.com/MessiahsKiss), featuring former session musicians for Tony Iommi and Saxon. That's an insult of a blurb, former session musician for Saxon? The bassist played a couple of shows as stand-in bassist. I c...

Re: Vickie on the Jasta Show
Not particularly worrying. It's common knowledge that she has basically no clue about decent music and is slowly killing a once great British metal institution. It really would be better to abandon ship, I see so many people complain about the line-up all year and still fork out the money to go. If ...

Actually on topic: I forgot that I had holiday left over from last financial year, so I now have 3 full weeks spare to take off rather than the 1 I thought I had.

Yeah that was Metal Assault back in February, Crystal Logic with Rick Fisher on drums too. It was fantastic, properly fantastic.VirginInvader wrote:I remember seeing somewhere that they recently played Open the Gates and Crystal Logic in their entirety at some festival in Germany.

Re: The Q&A thread
Rain Irving (While Heaven Wept) Interesting. I think Tom's a better singer than Rain, perhaps not live but Tom's always been miles more ambitious on album. Rob Halford Harry Conklin Eric Adams John Arch Michael Kiske All assumed at peak. However I think Conklin/Arch/Kiske are all still in the elite...

Prog? Yes. Metal? No. They're not well dressed metalheads, they're just fashionable people being fashionable.Owen wrote:Prog attracts a certain, upper-class well dressed variant of metalhead, at least recently

I knew you were a bit of a numpty when it came to music, but you're actually the most wrong person who has ever posted on this board. Big achievement considering some of the retards we've had on here.De Stijl wrote:However, liking Judas Priest if they're not the only band you've ever heard does make you one.

I live across a car park from a Post Office. If you're desperate for it, they'll redeliver it to the Post Office for you for £1.50. They can't leave it there as standard because they're totally separate companies now. Edit: Or I'm fairly sure you can ring up and arrange redelivery for a day you'll ...

Re: movies
The business model shouldn't have to change just because some people feel they can take whatever the hell they like. Yes it should, businesses should be driven by what customers want. That's not the point though, there's a huge customer base out there that would pay for low price downloads/streamin...

Re: movies
a really sad sign of the entitlement culture of today. Other people are paying to watch these films - why are you so special that you can just take it for free? It's more a sign that the business model needs to change. I know you can't think rationally about this if your livelyhood depend on it, bu...
