Re: Next Announcement

Following tonight’s government announcement all looking very positive for Bloodstock, back shortly with more news! Just posted by the Bloodstock Facebook account. Were they watching the same announcement as the rest of us? Well, it's positive as it now seems highly likely that the festival can go a...

Re: Next Announcement

It's not so much about safety, it's about the risk of putting more burden on the NHS if cases do rise exponentially. The highest percentage of people attending a music festival will be the under 30 age group, who won't have had both jabs by then. even without any protection, it's incredibly rare fo...

the death and hospitalisation numbers are the only figures that matter now - and they're low and staying low. case numbers are now irrelevant.

Re: Next Announcement

I can't see the restrictions lifting on June 21. Government scientific advisers are warning against it and Johnson is under pressure for exiting lockdown too early last year. Wacken cancelled this morning. I'm feeling pessimistic tbh. I'm in the same boat at the minute. Deaths are staying low, and ...

will be interesting to see what kind of line-up they can get together. three full days with 2 stages is a lot to fill.

Re: Next Announcement

Daily case numbers are increasing slightly but that was always going to happen when people started being allowed to mix indoors again, particularly when so many younger people have yet to be vaccinated The key stat to watch out for is hospitalisations (and eventually deaths). Number of people in ho...

Re: Next Announcement

there's nothing to worry about at the moment: a) the vaccines still demonstrably work fine against it b) cases are still falling week on week the only issue is the media willfully misreporting what was said last night - he literally said that currently there is no current reason to think that removi...

Re: Geoff Tate... shit live?

He's a lot better now than he was towards the end of his Queensryche tenure.
Had no interest in him after that, but he was playing close to where I live doing Mindcrime in full a couple of years back so I went along - was far better than I was expecting.

Re: Next Announcement

Looks like everyone aged under 50 will have to wait a further month for their first injection due to a major shortage. There's also now some tit for tat arguing between the UK and EU on supply. That June 21st date is starting to look more unlikely. no it's not. by Easter, the age groups responsible...

I hadn't even realised they were on the bill, I got recommended a song of theirs on Spotify a couple of months back and really enjoyed what I'd heard.
