Borknagar! That's my attendance assured. It'll be nice to see Saor too. https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/83341429_539552713328277_8958213185635090432_o.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_ohc=Xk6KzVRamkMAX_DCrjJ&_nc_ht=scontent-lhr8-1.xx&oh=78c79b42b9b0532b251ae4846ba69f56&oe=5EC37DE9

Re: Next Announcement

I know several people that will only be getting a Sunday day ticket. I'm just hoping that because they've put all of the good bands on one day they'll be able to avoid clashes. It's looking like Unleash The Archers will be clashing with someone. Probably Gloryhammer :-(

Re: Download Festival 2020

Soooo.... another year that Download can't produce a lineup that tempts me to get a ticket. Perhaps 4 bands across the weekend that I'd go out of my way to see, and maybe another 6 or so I'd watch at a festival because they were on. That's just not enough to justify the expense.

Re: worst band on the lineup ?

There are so many to choose from this year! Worthy contenders are sure to include Phil Anselmo, Memoriam, Skindred, Jinjer, Sylosis and probably others. But if pushed to pick one, it would have to be Hatebreed.

Re: Next Announcement

Sleep Token? Ha ha. I gave one of them a lift back to London after they played Download, only my car caught fire on the M1 and we had to wait on the hard shoulder for several hours for recovery. We got back to London some time after dawn. Fun times. They'd be a bit left field, but probably a reason...

Re: Next Announcement

It is strange how as the fest has grown this forum has died. Old guard must've all stopped caring It's not strange at all. Bloodstock actively killed off the forum with unnecessary downtime and with a hideous new look and feel a few years back. It's never been the same since. Whether that was malic...

Re: Wacken 2020

I go every year. Despite it being a huge festival, it doesn't feel like one. The atmosphere is totally different to, say, Download.

Re: Wacken 2020

Borknagar! Plus Avantasia and Lacuna Coil. This is shaping up to be yet another great Wacken lineup.

Re: Monument

The lead singer was caught out sexually harassing the models he was photographing, and took down all of his social media presence. The band also took stopped promoting themselves at the same time (although I understand he's still in the band).

I've been to Germany and Sweden for gigs. I don't have any specific advice other than get your ticket sorted and find flights and hotels on the Internet.

Re: Being sober at gigs

I'm more commonly sober at gigs than not these days. I can't say there's a huge difference between the two.
