Re: Next Announcement
Well, I imagine more richer bands like Devin Townsend would be able to afford the hotel stay. I think you're misrepresenting both how much money Devin has and how much he's being paid for this appearance. It's not even close to economically feasible for him and his band and crew to spend 10 days in...

Re: Next Announcement
I'm with King 810 being voted worst Bloodstock band ever; lyrics which included something about 'Popping a cap in yo ass' and sampled guitars at a metal festival? Really? Amazingly, I don't even think they were the worst band playing that year, let alone ever. I mean they were not very good, let's ...

Re: Epica + Apocalyptica UK shows
From the way the bands are listed it looks like Apocalyptica might be headliners, which is a surprise to me as I didn't realize anybody still cared about them. It's a co-headlining tour, and they've done two posters for it - one with Epica as the first name, the other with Apocalyptica. I assume th...

Re: Next Announcement
Surprised there hasn't been much positivity towards Savage Master on here so far. They sound pretty suited to the majority's taste on this forum - melodic trad/power metal. Yep. They're absolutely the sort of band that should be being booked. It's just that they're not very good. Musically they're ...

That's pretty much the opposite of me. There are literally no main stage bands I want to see on Friday or Saturday. There are a few on Sunday though.

Re: Next Announcement
I know several people that will only be getting a Sunday day ticket. I'm just hoping that because they've put all of the good bands on one day they'll be able to avoid clashes. It's looking like Unleash The Archers will be clashing with someone. Probably Gloryhammer

Re: worst band on the lineup ?
There are so many to choose from this year! Worthy contenders are sure to include Phil Anselmo, Memoriam, Skindred, Jinjer, Sylosis and probably others. But if pushed to pick one, it would have to be Hatebreed.

Re: Next Announcement
Sleep Token? Ha ha. I gave one of them a lift back to London after they played Download, only my car caught fire on the M1 and we had to wait on the hard shoulder for several hours for recovery. We got back to London some time after dawn. Fun times. They'd be a bit left field, but probably a reason...

Re: Next Announcement
It is strange how as the fest has grown this forum has died. Old guard must've all stopped caring It's not strange at all. Bloodstock actively killed off the forum with unnecessary downtime and with a hideous new look and feel a few years back. It's never been the same since. Whether that was malic...

Re: Van Canto
Just announced for Sabaton Open Air 2020, the same weekend as Bloodstock Well that's unfortunate. In previous years, it's been the weekend after Bloodstock. I was thinking of going again next year. I guess I won't be now. As for Van Canto, I'd say no. Their studio output is fine, but you can't do a...

Re: Metal 2 The Masses 2020
The bands we have competing (along with how they describe what they do) are as follows Blimey. That actually looks quite reasonable. The London ones have been almost exclusively filled with aggressive shouty nonsense for years. I've tried giving some of them a chance, but have largely been unimpres...

You could make a strong argument for Sabbath. I happen to disagree, but I can see why that claim would be made. I just don't see it for Motörhead.
