Re: Lamb of God / Kreator / Power Trip - UK Tour 2021

I've never understood why promoters think having a tour the week before fucking Christmas is a good idea.

Not necessarily in that order

Pretty much financial suicide, even if it was logistically possible.

Re: Outdoor Gigs

Interesting that on the government website it says: smaller-scale indoor performances can be piloted in COVID-19 Secure venues once approved by the government. I assume this is seating only. The key point here being "Covid -19 secure" Properly designated in and out entrances/exits and one...

Re: Outdoor Gigs

Struggling to see 'normal' gigs returning in August. Now - socially distanced gigs with mandatory face masks? That might happen. (Face masks allow the SD limit to the 1 metre instead of 2). I don't understand how you can enforce social distancing, regardless of one or two metres, at an open air gig.

I’ll be going on the unleashed day and hoping it’s also the day with Dismember and Demonical.

I believe that I saw a Facebook event post that said day tickets will be available from July 15th.

Re: 2020 Albums

Having heard two tracks from the forthcoming Alestorm album I'm in two minds. The first "Treasure chest.." is good fun and I really enjoyed it, however the new one "Tortuga" may be the biggest pile of shite I've heard for many a year.

Or that most of the extra deaths were not caused by CoviD19. Yeah I'd say it's more likely that the covid 19 deaths just weren't included in the second graph. Are you suggesting 6000 people suddenly just died in a week of something else when there's hardly any road traffic accidents and A &am...

Re: Sabaton Wembley 08/02/20 - No Chiltern Railways

If that was only the and of it :( Got to the gig easily enough but was stranded in London yesterday, no trains going North at all. Luckily I had enough money to get another hotel, managed to get an early train this morning that thankfully wasn't as crowded as expected. Still a bloody expensive week...

Volbeat it is then. Their last UK show is in Manchester on Tuesday October 1st, but a day or two shouldn't matter.

The Sisters of Mercy's two London shows are this weekend..

Re: BLOODSTOCK announce six bands as an early Halloween treat!

Oh good lord don't open that box. I imagine the answer you'll get is bands like Machine Head, Trivium, Devil Driver, Fozzy, etc. Of course the whole argument of what constitutes a 'Download band' and what constitutes a 'Bloodstock band' is a pointless one anyway, not just because Bloodstock have di...
