Re: COVID SECURE FESTIVAL ENTRY
Interesting decision, and since I'm not going one that doesn't affect me, however, what's to stop someone just telling the NHS website that they've had a negative test regardless of whether they have had one or not?

Re: Coronavirus
Or that most of the extra deaths were not caused by CoviD19. Yeah I'd say it's more likely that the covid 19 deaths just weren't included in the second graph. Are you suggesting 6000 people suddenly just died in a week of something else when there's hardly any road traffic accidents and A &am...

Re: Tech help reqd Optical to analogue sound for TV
Had a friend around yesterday to look at it,and the problem seems to be how the connector is powered. It runs off a USB plugged into the back of the TV,a separate connection to optical out. Unplugging then reconnecting the usb while the TV is turned on seems to reset it,and the soundbar then works f...

Re: Tech help reqd Optical to analogue sound for TV
My bet is the adapter. Digital to Analogue requires a microprocessor, rather than just a simple signal circuit, so I think they could be prone to failure. Was it pricey? Can you get it replaced easily? It was one of these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KNNSKV0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00...

Tech help reqd Optical to analogue sound for TV
Hello all, recently I had to replace my old Toshiba tv with a new Panasonic Viera. It isn't great and the sound is really poor. However I did have a soundbar through the old tv. The new tv doesn't have analogue output (red and white conectors) only optical,so I bought an adaptor, optical to analogue a...

Re: movies
Yep, looks fucking awful, and of course the media have declared anyone who doesn't like it a sexist despite the fact that from the trailer we can see the characters are badly written, it's unfunny and the sfx are awful. The sfx look perfectly fine to me. I don't like to draw too many conclusions fr...

Re: Computer Games Thread
I'm going to be setting up a youtube channel because I might as well be productive while looking for a job, SO out of this list of games which would you guys be most interested in watching a lets-play of first? Shovel Knight My mate has almost platinum'd Shovel Knight . Not my kind of game tbh. Has...

What the fuck is this bollocks?! I made better looking forums than this when I was fifteen for fucks sake. The Sisters of Mercy forum Heartland have created a "mobile friendly" version, well that is to say one of the admins knocked it up in his spare time without ever taking the site down...

Pdf problem advice needed NOT SPAM!
Recently I upgraded to a new pc because the old one (running windows xp ) would no longer open pdf files. My new pc running windows 7 and using foxit pdf reader worked fine until today, now when I try clicking the pdf file inside the email absolutely nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling foxit a...

I know what you mean about the news being out of date. My mate buys Classic Rock and he's telling me news that is months old as he doesn't have t'internet. Bless. I had a quick look at Terrorizer in Smiffs library the other day whilst waiting for a train and was shocked at how thin it was. It...

Re: Scottish Independence thread
It'll actually make their first general election really interesting. I'll be voting SNP at the first few , once we've got settled in I'll be supporting the Greens. Say for the first twenty years then? That's equating a few as four or five, and an election every 4 years! I haven't read all the thread...
