The problem is that, having grabbed a lot of attention and popular imagin...

Re: What pissed you off today

The single biggest problem with the occupy movement is the lack of a coherent message (although it could be argued that it's a new form of protest that represents disenfranchisement and therefore the lack of message is a product of its very nature). It's hard to get behind a group of people who don'...

Re: What's upset you?

I found out this morning that someone I knew online a while back (and met in person too) killed himself at the weekend. I haven't spoken to him in ages, but it's still a bit upsetting.

Re: What has made you happy today

Just sorted a refund on my gas bill that pretty much coves the cost of Damnation for me and the missus. Now I can buy a Godflesh shirt without worrying about money!

Re: What pissed you off today

I think the whole 'knee never going to stop being painful' thing has just sunk in and I'm feeling a bit crap about it.

Off to the pub in a bit to commiserate, though. That's assuming that I manage to walk that far...

Re: What has made you happy today

talking with my creative writing tutor about Neil Gaiman and suddenly got reminded of a graphic novel he did where the Marvel universe was transplanted to Elizabethan times. Going to get a hold of a copy of it once i'm next in the money I haven't read 1602 in years! I swear I have a copy laying aro...

Re: What pissed you off today

Arghhhhhhhhh!! I wish I lived with civilised people. The kitchen is so unclean that we have fruit flies. And surprise, surprise, housemate who always conveniently forgets to do her washing up before she fucks off anywhere has conveniently forgotten to wash up her stuff. I should just leave it outsi...

I really can't be arsed to watch Bowling For Columbine and think critically about it.

Actually, I can't be arsed to think critically about anything...

The fact that it's a newsworthy TERRIBLE DISASTER that Blackberry owners can't send emails. The phrase 'first world problems' springs to mind...

(Besides, if the riots taught us anything it's that it's probably a good thing that people with Blackberry's can't email each other!)

Re: What has made you happy today

Romero's hit and miss. I suspected it wouldn't be brilliant, but, yeah, it's a completist thing. :) The local ASDA have a big rack of horror DVDs for £3, mostly the old Universal ones as part of the Halloween promotions. It's hidden at the side of one of the racks at my ne though. And they haven't g...

Re: What has made you happy today

ASDA were selling Survival of the Dead for £5. It's the only one of Romero's Dead series that I haven't seen yet, so that's me sorted for the evening.

I'm quite tempted by all of the creature feature DVDs they have for £3 each as well.

Lymestone Brewery do a honey stout called Stone brood that's fantastic - bloody lethal as well! I discovered a beer called The Wizard in the KPA the other as well, which was pretty good - not as good as the Black Sabbath I had in there the time before, but still good. That reminds me - it's the Stok...
