Re: Coronavirus

Makes me think it's much more widespread than they think and a lot of people have it without symptoms. That's absolutely the case. Some people have been tested and spent two weeks in self-isolation while asymptomatic. People without symptoms can still pass it on though. If you're a pleb they won't ...

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

The Bloodstock Forum's favourite Hardcore band Hatebreed have postponed their new album indefinitely because it's impossible for the CDs and vinyls to be pressed since all the factories in North America and Europe are shutting down, plus retailers are closed too. Obviously most music is consumed dig...

Re: Coronavirus

I'm glad someone got the reference  I'm a bit of a Formula 1 nerd, so the next few months will be particularly frustrating for me. No live music and no Formula One! :x I wouldn't worry too much about your wall though, unless you're planning on having a ventilator delivered straight to your doo...

Are you referring to Crashgate from the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix?

Along with his wife and some of Testament's road crew. They must have spread that all over Europe without even knowing where they contracted it.

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

And now we're very close to a full lockdown because of dickheads who didn't follow the advice and ignorant people who have been dismissing this as 'a bit of a cold'. Thanks to these people, life could very well become a lot more unpleasant very soon. I really do wonder how much further the governme...

Re: Coronavirus

Efforts are afoot to produce new ventilators though. Formula One teams have immense capabilities to build a lot of them fairly quickly, particularly Mclaren, Mercedes, Williams and Red Bull. All the F1 teams have fuck all to do right now too as the first part of the season has been wiped out so this...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Including the band members it seems. Will Carroll is in intensive care. Personally I'm glad I didn't go despite having a ticket. Yeah I read about that. Gary Holt has been ill too but seems to be doing OK. I hope Will Carroll pulls through and I'm a bit worried for Chuck Billy since he's a cancer s...

Re: Next Announcement

Judas Priest, Saxon and Diamond Head are all "at risk" from this virus. The American bands might not be able to get to Europe for the festivals. I think it's extremely unlikely that Bloodstock will go ahead.

Re: Turilli/Lione Rhapsody European Tour

As expected, this has gone now too.

On Sunday 5th April Cellar Darling will be live streaming a "concert" from the studio and they're asking for donations to keep them going for the next few months. Anyone who pays at least €15 will get a gift from the band.

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

I don't really need any more t-shirts that I'm not going to wear though. I'm more into buying small accessories now, like fridge magnets and wristbands. I wanted to get a Testament wristband last weekend in Manchester but the march stall was cash only. Who the hell carries cash nowadays?

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

At least we have some potentially great albums coming out this year. Testament, Nightwish, Warbringer, Havok and Sojourner all have albums coming out soon. In the absence of live shows I hope to be able to spend my money on albums instead. If it helps bands get through this fallow period then it's w...
