Re: What has made you happy today

The house purchase is finally complete! That one I banged on about having problems with a few weeks ago, for anyone who remembers/cares. Will be moving in next week.

And band practice tonight. Second to last one before me and the lads take a break for marriage, kids, etc.

Re: What's freaking you out?

Just got told there's two grand of retention on the mortgage of the house me and the wife are about to buy, following the valuation report. We've barely enough to cover the solicitor's fees and the mortgage deposit. Panicking now, really hoping we don't have to scrape for the money.

The Germans are remaking Maniac Mansion! One of the true joys of my childhood! Desperately hoping they do it justice.

Re: What pissed you off today

Still waiting for mortgage application to drop through the post. That's despite the fact that me and the wife had an offer accepted last Monday. Getting chased for it by the estate agent as its a repossessed house we're buying, and Nationwide are proving difficult! Hopefully today will be the day I ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Me and my wife's offer for the house we were after has been accepted! Now for the surveying and conveyancing fees - not so good. Oh well, the clearout from my current house begins now. Looking forward to it.

Re: What pissed you off today

Me and my wife have had a bid accepted for a house, which was previously repossessed and is quite affordable. Excellent. But the estate agents want it wrapped up by Monday, and the building society want to see either of us tomorrow or Thursday. I don't know a great deal about mortgages or house buy...

Only 2 1/2 hours until I become agent Manuel Calavera from Grim Fandango for the night. It's going to make for an interesting night to say the least!

Re: movies

The last film I watched was Mega Piranha. I fully knew what to expect, but still - that was a good hour and a bit I'll never get back :x

Re: What has made you happy today

Getting back into Type O Negative, a year after Pete Steele died. I credit them for shaping the direction I took as a drummer - invariably into sludge/doom territory - but listening to the defiant 'We Hate Everyone' definitely put a smile on my face today, simply cos it kicks so much ass. Other than...

Re: Computer Games Thread

I'm between games at the moment. I finished Gears of War (catching up on all the Xbox stuff having only recently got one), and did the dark world on Super Meat Boy. Now to 100% the bitch!

I suppose I'm just waiting for Portal 2 to come around. Cos that will get played to death. Can't wait.
