Re: No Code Orange?
Demons & Wizards have no gig that day and currently playing festivals so fully rehearsed.... (I know it's not going to happen, but a man can dream). Yeah but we want a decent replacement not a downgrade :P Well that's the stupidest thing I've ever seen on this forum, that Boneduster lad playing...

Spiderman: Far From Home - takes everything great about all spiderman's appearances in the MCU so far as well as everything that makes SM great in general and builds on it. Also a wee nod to the game at the end was class.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
I'll be honest I didn't like Season 7 and didn't think they could do much worse.
I was wrong.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
To be fair it has turned into fan fiction since the source material ran out in season 6. Instead it's all about huge set pieces, rushed plot lines, the return of fast travel except where convenient, characters not acting like themselves and cheap fan service. I'm still watching it of course but it's...

Re: Metal 2 the Masses 2019
I'll probably head to the Glasgow final to watch the invariable shit throwing that goes on. The problem is Glasgow is the only venue that does the entirety of Scotland so every band under the sun applies, and the majority of heavy hitters or bigger bands stopped applying several years ago due to bei...

All things on the table I'd take an electric screwdriver to the kneecaps than do either of those things.

A comment on the Bloodstock Facebook page: Look Black Sabbath and Metallica and ACDC got their fame and fortune in a year where they have no competition. If they had to compete with bands like lamb of God Killswitch Engage Parkway Drive sikth jinja System of a Down Gojira then I can honestly say th...

I loved FF10 as a kid as well and obviously farmed sphere levels a lot more then because this time I spent about 3 days trying to beat Mountain-Zombie-GoFuckYourself-Seymour because I didn't have any of the zombie resist gear from the dude half way up the mountain.

Re: The Book thread
I found the second to be significantly better than the third - the ending in particular was pretty underwhelming. Looking forward to getting onto the other books in the series. And doing my Wheel of Time re-read before the TV series begins And reading the Esslemont Malazan Books And reading Oathbrea...

Re: The Book thread
So now my eyes are actually better and I'm not practically blind I can start reading my way through my queue. My wife bought me all of Robin Hobb's books (well all the main ones anyway) so I've started by re-reading the original Farseer Trilogy, enjoying it much more the second time around.
