Ready? I'm so ready I know which albums I'll play in the car on the way over and what order i'll play them in

Albums? In my day we burned CDs in some sort of twisted mix tape, uphill both ways!

Re: Question regarding reentrance rules

As a fellow warrior of the pancreatic brigade welcome! I usually bring a small bag (like a running backpack) with my insulin and one of the cool pouches into the arena and they were fine with that before.

Re: movies

Spiderman: Far From Home - takes everything great about all spiderman's appearances in the MCU so far as well as everything that makes SM great in general and builds on it. Also a wee nod to the game at the end was class.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

I'll be honest I didn't like Season 7 and didn't think they could do much worse.

I was wrong.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

To be fair it has turned into fan fiction since the source material ran out in season 6. Instead it's all about huge set pieces, rushed plot lines, the return of fast travel except where convenient, characters not acting like themselves and cheap fan service. I'm still watching it of course but it's...

Re: Computer Games Thread

I loved FF10 as a kid as well and obviously farmed sphere levels a lot more then because this time I spent about 3 days trying to beat Mountain-Zombie-GoFuckYourself-Seymour because I didn't have any of the zombie resist gear from the dude half way up the mountain.

Re: The Book thread

I found the second to be significantly better than the third - the ending in particular was pretty underwhelming. Looking forward to getting onto the other books in the series. And doing my Wheel of Time re-read before the TV series begins And reading the Esslemont Malazan Books And reading Oathbrea...

Re: The Book thread

So now my eyes are actually better and I'm not practically blind I can start reading my way through my queue. My wife bought me all of Robin Hobb's books (well all the main ones anyway) so I've started by re-reading the original Farseer Trilogy, enjoying it much more the second time around.

Re: EU Referendum and Afterwards

Ah time to revive an ageing thread with my two cents. So the whole second independence referendum thing, probably shouldn't have been pushed as aggressively as it was but in the same instance if the SNP hadn't mentioned it as a possibility they could have been accused of not acting on their new mani...

Re: What's upset you?

Earlier on this year I had some major surgery in my right eye to try and get some sight back due to diabetic retinopathy. The side in my right eye hasn't improved much, I can still see a little but I cannot rely on it (plus a small fold in the retina gives me the odd bit of double vision). For the p...

Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

Had my eye surgery the other day. It looks fucking horrible at the moment but once all the blood has been reabsorbed I should be able to see more than I could out my right eye before (an improvement from 0% is always welcome)

Re: Non-Metal Music Chat

I listen to a lot of film and game soundtracks (Skyrim and Destiny are on a contant loop) but otherwise there's the Piano Guys, Lindsey Stirling and Ludovico Einaudi.
