Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

I know if given the choice of having Falkirk win the Scottish Cup or the SPL in my lifetime, I would choose the Cup every time. I imagine most smaller team fans would be the same. Can't take this seriously, is this a wind up? Deadly serious. I'm starting to think we just place more prestige in the ...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Discussion point, is winning the FA cup that big a deal any more. Feel free to pick apart what I say, but this is how I see it. Look at Wigan, they beat City, Millwall, Everton, Huddersfield Town, Macclesfield Town, AFC Bournemouth. The only two of those games were or at least should have been a te...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

On other news Rangers (My other team) beat the hoops! Up The Gers! Still feeling good? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/15023630.stm Get it up ye Gers fans! Truly the romance of the cup. Even more amazing when you consider that our squad of 16 had 10 teenagers in it, with only one player ov...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

In the SPL, Celtic and Rangers earn about 1.7 million a year in TV revenue. Last year, even Blackpool, the lowest paid team got 37 Million, with United getting 60 odd. If they joined the EPL, they'd be nearish the top earners because Sky would want them against the big clubs televised for sure, the...

A bad cock up, but not as bad as BBC Scotland's "They'll be dancing in the streets of Raith tonight" classic.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Still delirious after last night's Scottish cup action. Falkirk 4 - Hearts 3. A list minute winner and we came from 3-2 behind despite Hearts deploying their usual cheating, diving, scrappy tactics. Honestly the best game I've ever been to. It's one of those games 20 years down the line people will...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Tranmere came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2. I am actually happily with the score for once. We're still going down like, but with 2 points instead of 1. Just out of interest, what do you make of Enoch Showunmi? He's regularly touted as the worst player to have ever played for Falkirk, and he was certai...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Falkirk relegated :(

I'm absolutely gutted, and I have no idea who we'll be forced to sell or if we can bounce back from this.

However, if the SPL reforms, we should be staying up, but nothing's certain.

I quite enjoy Powerplay when I can find it and I always have a flick over my Dad's Classic Rock and Fireworks when he's done with them.

I like Hawksbee and Jacobs on talksport, they're on from 1pm to 4pm. Naturally I'm in work but today on a day I sat back turned on my radio to find.... One of them's having a week off to be replaced by a wanker. :x So you missed that time in the summer where they were both on holiday and they were ...
