Re: Obligatory weather topic

Met Office has yellow warning for rain on Friday and yellow warning for wind on Saturday- think I’ll be bringing extra tent pegs.

Re: Tube strike

My train from Euston is 11 am, so need to cross London fairly early. What I'll probably do is get a taxi from just outside London and hope for the best.

Tube strike

OK so there is a tube strike starting at 6.30pm tonight and going on all day tomorrow. Anyone in the same boat as having to get from Victoria to Euston? And if so, how are you going to do it?

I quite like Stone Sour, but they're not really suitable for Bloodstock.

Re: Bloodstock Arms

Oh dear, I was completely unaware there was anything other than Hobgoblin. Whether this was due to me being unobservant, or poor signage, I'm not sure, but will keep a look out next year.

Re: What has made you happy today

What's making me happy at the moment? I'm 5 days into a six week, fully paid holiday from work. What's pissing me off at the moment? The reason I have 6 weeks off work is 'cause I had a total hip replacement on Saturday.

Ah yes, the threat of thermonuclear destruction, takes me back to my youth in the late 70s. I can remember when we got this http://www.atomica.co.uk/main.htm through the letter box and had this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceVmnRlUEO8 on the Tv. Hardly filled you with optimism

Re: What pissed you off today

This morning I woke to the sound of dripping coming from inside a cupboard. Sometime during the night a roof tile had got broken and now I have a leak coming through the ceiling, so I started the morning by climbing into the loft and fiddling about with buckets, which made me late for work. Monday m...

Top marks for having 'Happiness' in your favorites list. It's a great film, but a very uncomfortable watch.

My father finally lost his long battle with cancer earlier today and passed away peacefully.
