Re: M2TM 2017
I went to the first Quarter (or is it "quinter"?) final in London yesterday, so I thought I'd fill you in on who went through (and also provide links to the other bands in case you wanted to check them out). Firstly, I just wanted to point out how well organised it was and the atmosphere w...

Re: Next Announcement
If we start getting bands like Ghost, Grand Magus, Finntroll & Havok then it'll be much easier to look past the utter dross on the line-up. I'd be happy with Ghost. I like them enough to want to watch them at a festival, but not enough to justify me buying a ticket to one of their own shows. Fi...

Re: Next Announcement Thread
So another festival bites the dust, anything from Temples coming to Bloodstock then? I wouldn't mind seeing Carcass, Grave, Dragged into Sunlight, Voices, Mgla and Funeral Throne from that line-up. Not sure how likely Voices would be given the Akercocke situation though... and we had them recently ...

Re: Next Announcement Thread
So Bloodstock posted some weird "the monkey is out of the cage " video on FB, and Akercocke have posted something similar and said there's news coming on Tuesday, so they look very likely for the next announcement. Would be rather underwhelmed by that, always found them dull and overrated...

Re: Personal opinions on VIP
I VIP'ed for the first time last year (after winning tickets in the Hobgoblin M2TM voting competition). I found it to be a really good experience and have opted to pay the extra money and do it again this year. We drive up and always end up bringing a ridiculous amount of stuff (most of it is cider-...
